For this project, the Coastal Custom Wine Cellars team chose the modern RM4600 split-type cooling unit from US Cellar Systems.
The wine cooling equipment is not noticeable at all because of its smart and effective installation, placing it outside the wine room which is accessible from outside the house.
This installation method allows the wine cellar to be free from the cooling unit noise protecting the wine collection from potential exposure to vibrations.

The large rear porch roof provides protection from unwanted glare and the setting summer sun, so the house does not overheat in the summer. It is open framed with rafters so there is an expansive view to the forest and ample diffused daylight throughout the year. It also protects the home from prevailing weather patterns.

The original 800 sf home was expanded to 1750 sf with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths.
