Previously a dark and dated kitchen our customers were embarking on a new extension for a fabulous new dining room and wanted a modern kitchen that would link the two spaces. Having browsed our showroom and been inspired by two key pieces, they asked for a contemporary new kitchen and for us to incorporate the architectural Falmec Prestige Cooker Hood and Neolith sintered stone worktop in the river-washed finish. We just love the fresh new feel to this space created through the use of high gloss, true handleless grey cabinetry combined with a pop of electric blue and open shelving. The open shelving, rather than a bank of wall units, really helps to frame the range and hood, but maintains a sense of space. Previously this kitchen had a peninsula design but we designed a statement island with breakfast bar to make use of this central area. Dressed with bar stools, pendant lighting and completed with the textured Neolith worktop, it is a stunning central feature for this family kitchen. The sink is another design feature all by itself, this is a Carron Phoenix stainless steel & black glass sink. We absolutely love it in this setting!

It’s warm in Southern California, and that’s exactly the feeling Andy and Liz sought to maintain inside their new Tuscan-style home as they embarked on a modern interior makeover. After all, the couple had two small children and a dog to consider. Empty and austere simply wasn’t a good fit for the young family whose interests include photography, art and lots of Lego’s. Andy, an engineer, became intrigued with Cantoni after driving past the Irvine location on his daily commute. It wasn’t long before he and Liz decided to venture into the Los Angeles showroom, and that’s where they met Bernadette. By all accounts, the trio made for great collaboration, and the project that began in February 2012 is still a work in progress today. “We were impressed by Bernadette,” says Andy. “We liked her and her work, and she won us over.” The project began with pictures sent and an in-home walk-through where measurements were taken. The couple knew they wanted furnishings for the living, dining and family rooms, as well as the media room and a study. They were open to art and accent pieces, and hoped to incorporate natural elements into the mix. Bernadette set to work. “It was fun touring our LA showroom and listening to Liz and Andy discuss their likes and dislikes. One thing was for sure,” she adds, “the Laguna Sectional was going in their theater room even if we needed to knock out a wall!” UpstairsPhase I of the job is complete (as you can see from the stunning images), but instead of parting ways, Andy and Liz decided to have Bernadette help re-imagine the master bedroom and kitchen, next. In the summer of 2012 we embarked on a remodel of our 1912 Craftsman. We wanted to redo the kitchen and the upper floor which contained the master bedroom, bathroom, guest room and office. We interviewed approximately 5 other architects prior to finding Mark. We knew right away he was the right person for the job. He was patient, thorough and we could tell he truly loved our home and wanted to work with us to make it even better. His vast experience showed through during the interview process which validated his portfolio. Mark truly became a trusted advisor who would guide us through this remodel process from beginning to end. His planning was precise and he came by many times to re-measure to get every detail accounted for. He was patient and helpful as we made decisions and then changed our minds! He was with us every week of the 10 weeks of the remodel. He attended each weekly meeting with the General Contractor and was at the house numerous other times guiding and really looking out for our best interests. I came to trust him enough to ask his opinion on almost everything from layout to colors and decorating tips! He consistently threw out ideas....many of which we took. Additionally Mark was a tremendous help in referring us to contractors, designers, and retailers to help us along the way. I am ecstatic over the results of the remodel. The kitchen and bath are truly beautiful and full of modern conveniences while maintaining the integrity of the 1912 structure. We were right about our decision to hire Mark and we wholehearted recommend him as an outstanding architect, and more!!

Embarking on a bathroom renovation project in the Upper East Side involves transforming the existing tub into a chic walk-in shower while significantly increasing storage capacity for enhanced functionality. Came to this property in dire need of attention and care. We embarked on a comprehensive whole-house remodel, reimagining the layout to include three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, each with spacious walk-in closets. The heart of the home, our new kitchen, boasts ample pantry storage and a delightful coffee bar, while a built-in desk enhances the dining room. We oversaw licensed upgrades to plumbing, electrical, and introduced an efficient ductless mini-split HVAC system. Beyond the interior, we refreshed the exterior with new trim and a fresh coat of paint. Modern LED recessed lighting and beautiful luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout, paired with elegant bathroom tiles, completed this transformative journey. We also dedicated our craftsmanship to refurbishing and restoring the original staircase railings, bringing them back to life and preserving the home's timeless character.

This late 90’s home was ready for a refresh, and boy did we have fun delivering just that! Fully renovating the kitchen, family room, dining room, laundry room, entry, and study as well as converting an unused formal room to a wine lounge allowed us to update the first floor of this home in a meaningful way. Lightening and brightening the walls and completely redoing all furnishings and decor, were just the beginning. The kitchen’s complete redesign involved moving obtrusive walls, creating more functional spaces, and incorporating current design trends. Fresh greens and blues were chosen to brighten the spaces, and texture was integrated to keep an organic feel. The clients are so pleased, we’re now embarking on Phase 2!
