Lauren King Interior DesignThis project was a part of the 2017 Decorators' Showhouse in Columbus, Ohio. Twelve designers each created a room within the Columbus Museum of Art, making this the first showhouse to take place within a museum. Each designer was allowed to use a piece of artwork from the museum's collection in their space.
The intent of this design was to create a contemporary, gender-neutral nursery with touches of mid-century modern style. Mid-century modern design is sleek, simple, functional and bright. Here, the combination of vintage and contemporary furnishings and accessories all come together to create a space that is calm, yet inspires creative play.
The artwork, California Landscape by Stanton Macdonald-Wright, sets this tone. His modern abstract, devoid of illustration uses blocks of color to create space and form. This idea of geometric abstracts is repeated throughout the design of the room. Interesting shapes that can be manipulated with eye or hand are very fitting for a nursery. This is a space where a child can dream and play, grow and learn, and also rest. It is a room that could evolve over time while continuing to inspire a child for many years.
“I strive to divest my work of all anecdote and illustration and to purify it to the point where the emotions of the spectator will be wholly aesthetic, as when listening to good music…”
- Stanton Macdonald-Wright, circa 1915

asap/ adam sokol architecture practiceThe site of the Emperor Hotel, Qianmen was once occupied by a public bath, and so the spirit of bathing and mystery will live on in the new hotel. The design is organized not by spaces and circulation, but by emotions and dreams; not by materials and details but by illusions and memories.
The design is infused throughout with water: from the pool cantilevered above the rooftop, it flows out and rains down, cascading through the hotel in a series of interior channels; dripping down threads from which hang mysterious floating plants; drizzling in a spectacular 15m interior rainfall; and eventually plummeting down to an underground waterfall in the heart of a hidden spa.
Guest rooms are designed to provide visitors with a peaceful respite from the energy of Beijing. Each room is uniquely designed with the goal of providing guests with a distinctive, unique and memorable experience.

Become Interiors LtdWhen designing this kitchen, as always I was keen to propose a combination of material and product choices that were both beautiful and yet practical for everything a kitchen demands from daily use. That’s why every finish here was chosen for durability as well as aesthetics, including this beautiful quartz worktop and backsplash with it’s rippled, mossy pattern.
The worktop, plus the mid green and muted oak kitchen cabinets sit beautifully together showing it is possible for practical choices to also be characterful and emotive.

Kimberley Harrison InteriorsThe Slow Spin reflects our belief that every space — no matter how utilitarian — deserves intention and a sense of intrigue. Our concept was rooted in contrast: concealment and reveal, historic architecture layered with modern restraint, and function elevated through materiality. The Calacatta Oyster marble was our jumping-off point—we sourced the stone first and let its movement, warmth, and quiet drama set the tone for everything that followed. Staying true to our intuitive approach and refined aesthetic, we were inspired to reframe daily rituals as moments of pause, designing a room that feels thoughtfully explored, curated, and discovered rather than purely installed. Meticulous detailing, disciplined material choices, and close collaboration with our partners allowed us to create a space that is highly functional and emotionally resonant—proving that even the most practical rooms can carry beauty, depth, and personality.

New Explode ConstructionThis space transitions from kitchen to living zone with a rhythm that feels effortless and intentional. A minimalist ribbon fireplace adds emotional warmth without cluttering the design. Beside it, the floating staircase rises like sculpture—its wood treads and matte railing continuing the material language from the kitchen.
The restraint of this design makes it feel expansive. Nothing is overstated, yet everything is considered. Light is diffused. Movement is easy. Sightlines are uninterrupted. This is a moment where architecture, interior design, and atmosphere meet—and it's quietly powerful.
There's nothing here that doesn't serve a purpose, and nothing that doesn't serve beauty. This is minimalism that lives well.
One Week Bath, Inc.Meg Moreta is an inspirational One Week Bath™ Customer. She shared with us that she had One Week Bath™ remodel her two bathrooms to “wipe away the memories of her debilitating bout with cancer.” Ongoing radiation and chemotherapy had left Meg spending much of her time being ill in her bathroom. We are so proud and honored to be included in her journey to recovery… part of that emotional recovery involved erasing the past and creating two new beautiful bathrooms that represent a fresh and healthy new start.
Meg Moreta hired One Week Bath Customer to remodel her bathWe’d like to share Meg’s story with you. I think you’ll find it enlightening and also hope that her journey will help others avoid the unnecessary trauma she experienced. Thankfully, Meg is now a five year cancer survivor in complete remission, and the mother of two beautiful little girls, Gabrielle, age 7 and Madeline, age 5.
