Grouped with the transitional style sofas and club chairs are objects that are gothic in style. The bench blends perfectly with the dwarf breakfront and is topped with a fabric called "Gothick" that is based on medieval tracery patterns. The coffee table, named Hermitage abstracts traditional motifs in a more transitional way. The four chandeliers and two wall sconces on the columns relate to the timeless nature of the room's theme. The ornamental plaster ceiling is reminiscent of such grand rooms. Clothing the floor is an enormous French Aubusson carpet.

KITCHEN
The kitchen’s previous island was totally redesigned for a new show-stopping effect. The counter was extended with two wooden legs for support, wainscot paneling around it with bead boards in the centers, and two custom built island bookcases with backlighting were added to increase the magic. Most of the cabinets were removed to keep a core three cabinets. The sink that was added to the island was double the size of the previous sink for entertaining purposes - major modifications were necessary to shoe horn the sink in.
1X wood boards and crown molding was added to the upper cabinets around the perimeter of the kitchen to bring them up to the ceiling. The cabinet above the new refrigerator was custom fabricated to accommodate the new fridge (which was enormous compared to the owners’ previous one) and to match the cabinetry perfectly.
The intricate gray tile backsplash throughout the kitchen added color, texture and a dynamic reflection of the under-counter lighting. The counter was redone in Cambria Quartz with an undermount stainless steel sink. New Thermador appliances were installed throughout the kitchen with a beautiful floating hood vent complimented by the ornate tile backsplash.

Small format tile with an enormous decorative spirit. Effects and glazes that are classically ceramic with a contemporary touch, while geometry and volume gives it a unique personality.

A truly special property located in a sought after Toronto neighbourhood, this large family home renovation sought to retain the charm and history of the house in a contemporary way. The full scale underpin and large rear addition served to bring in natural light and expand the possibilities of the spaces. A vaulted third floor contains the master bedroom and bathroom with a cozy library/lounge that walks out to the third floor deck - revealing views of the downtown skyline. A soft inviting palate permeates the home but is juxtaposed with punches of colour, pattern and texture. The interior design playfully combines original parts of the home with vintage elements as well as glass and steel and millwork to divide spaces for working, relaxing and entertaining. An enormous sliding glass door opens the main floor to the sprawling rear deck and pool/hot tub area seamlessly. Across the lawn - the garage clad with reclaimed barnboard from the old structure has been newly build and fully rough-in for a potential future laneway house.

An enormous sliding door was set into the dining room area to give increased light to the interior space while allowing it to function seamlessly with a sideyard deck and grilling area.

Full extension drawer slides give full access to these enormous maple drawers.

Sleek, contemporary master bath in old Irving park neighborhood in Chicago. We tore out an enormous alcove tub to upgrade to a walk in shower with an open doorless entry incorporating a natural teak wood base. We tiled all walls with a 4 x 16 stacked white ceramic which is balanced by the warmer wood tones.

Several years ago, Jill and Brian remodeled their kitchen with TKS Design Group and recently decided it was time to look at a primary bath remodel.
Jill and Brian wanted a completely fresh start. We tweaked the layout slightly by reducing the size of the enormous tub deck and expanding the vanities and storage into the old tub deck zone as well as pushing a bit into the awkward carpeted dressing area. By doing so, we were able to substantially expand the existing footprint of the shower. We also relocated the French doors so that the bath would take advantage of the light brought in by the skylight in that area. A large arched window was replaced with a similar but cleaner lined version, and we removed the large bulkhead and columns to open the space. A simple freestanding tub now punctuates the area under the window and makes for a pleasing focal point. Subtle but significant changes.
We chose a neutral gray tile for the floor to ground the space, and then white oak cabinetry and gold finishes bring warmth to the pallet. The large shower features a mix of white and gray tile where an electronic valve system offers a bit of modern technology and customization to bring some luxury to the everyday. The bathroom remodel also features plenty of storage that keeps the everyday necessities tucked away. The result feels modern, airy and restful!

Welcome to the Berkeley Home Plan by Main Street Homes! This home is characterized by its well-appointed rooms on the first floor and features an angled staircase in the airy foyer. The formal dining and living rooms are on either side of the foyer. The kitchen with large island is open to a cheerful breakfast nook and the spacious family room. The second floor features three bedrooms and a large bonus room, in addition to the luxurious primary bedroom with private garden bath and enormous walk-in closet. Third floor options are also available.

The Reserve Tanglewood colonial has the grandeur of a castle: its curved staircase, two story Foyer, optional second front entry and open balcony overlooking the Family Room borrow elements of a noble estate. Upon entering the Foyer, the formal Dining Doom, Powder Room and Study are instantly accessible. Beyond the Foyer, find one large gathering area containing the Family Room, Harvest Room, Sitting Room and Kitchen. Pass through an enormous Mud Hall to access the Garage, Lavatory and separate staircase. The second floor offers tall step up ceilings in both the Owner’s Suite and Owner’s Bath, connected by a private hallway. Three additional Bedrooms, two Bathrooms and an upstairs Laundry are also located on the second floor. An optional covered Loggia with cathedral ceiling is available to complete the regal Reserve Tanglewood Colonial.
