The Ossido line stems from a wager against time, in an attempt to crystallise a material at a specific point in its life and have it stay that way forever. Specifically, it entails the reproduction of a oxidation process on slabs of copper and metal, which generates a very strong and rich colour, yet which inevitably disappears as the oxidation process progresses.

Shortly after purchasing their home, the owners determined a complete landscape makeover was needed so they could truly enjoy Ohio’s short outdoor season in their expansive back yard. The project entailed designing multiple areas for relaxing and dining enhanced with the addition of trickling water and warmth of a firepit. Incorporating a blue pallet of Pennsylvania Bluestone patios and stacked stone columns throughout the project perfectly complements the taupe home and creates a naturally soothing quality in the new backyard retreat.

This beautiful master bathroom remodel entailed a few unique changes. This space was remodeled to be handicap accessible. The entrance to the master bath was widen and the dam was removed for easy entry making the shower a complete walk allowing for easy entering. In the shower the bench was elongated and tiled with Marfil 12x12 polishe3d marble tile. In the shower they depressed the drain in order to successfully make the space fully accessible in a wheel chair and installed multiple grab bars. Another feature in the shower was the Hansgrohe Green shower pipe with a rain head and hand shower with a thermostatic mixer and valve trim. The light painted and glazed cabinets made the room feel brighter, larger and updated. The lovely kitchen capture the English Cottage charm with its painted and glazed bead-board cabinets, apron-front sink, decorative corbels and legs and beautiful quartz countertops. The project entailed removing the existing soffit, enlarging the doorway into the dining room and adding recessed lighting throughout.

This project began with the request to update the existing kitchen of this eclectic waterfront home on Puget Sound. The remodel entailed relocating the kitchen from the front of the house where it was limiting the window space to the back of the house overlooking the family room and dining room. We opened up the kitchen with sliding window walls to create a natural connection to the exterior. The bold colors were the owner’s vision, and they wanted the space to be fun and inviting. From the reclaimed barn wood floors to the recycled glass countertops to the Teppanyaki grill on the island and the custom stainless steel cloud hood suspended from the barrel vault ceiling, virtually everything was centered on entertaining.

This project entailed updating a finished basement and boys' playroom that was underutilized and contained many design obstacles from lolly columns to mechanical equipment. The client wanted the space to blend with the eclectic old style of the rest of her home, and also wanted to incorporate a couple of existing custom millwork pieces. With three boys, all with varying interests from art to toy collections, the client needed this space to cater to their hobbies. The Calvin Swallow Residence entailed the restoration and rehabilitation of the 1874 building in conformance with National Park Service, the Massachusetts Historical Commission and Boston’s South End Landmark District Commission. The building had been vacant and abandoned for more than 15 years. The scope of the project consisted of a full exterior restoration which includes new slate roofing, re-construction of the cornice lines, repair and mostly reconstruction of the ground level storefront windows and door, repair of the oriel window and masonry repointing. On the interior, Haycon restored the stairs and railings and constructed six apartments on the top three floors. The ground floors are offices.

Practical design touches ( hooks for purses, coats, umbrella stand, refreshments area, guest WIFI, etc...) One of the greatest benefits of a home office is the freedom to design it with a distinct identity. In other words, we shouldn’t blend the workplace with the rest of our personal space, aka home.

This three-bedroom three bath residence underwent a comprehensive renovation that entailed a color palette of whites and grays with dark wood as designed by Interiors by Design West. The whole house was updated with wood and tile flooring, new doors, trim and plumbing throughout. The laundry room and bathrooms were modernized with Woodmode cabinetry and quartz countertops. The kitchen was completely remodeled with Woodmode cabinetry, quartz countertops, Thermador appliances and updated lighting.
