Lower level open-plan living room of a new construction home in the Berkeley Hills, CA. The full room composition captures the home's complete material palette. Floating walnut open-riser stair with black steel stringer and glass railing with black steel balustrade rises to the right, anchored by the custom geometric laser-cut birch plywood panel. This large estate house was carefully crafted to compliment the rolling hillsides of the Midwest. Horizontal board & batten facades are sheltered by long runs of hipped roofs and are divided down the middle by the homes singular gabled wall. At the foyer, this gable takes the form of a classic three-part archway.
Going through the archway and into the interior, reveals a stunning see-through fireplace surround with raised natural stone hearth and rustic mantel beams. Subtle earth-toned wall colors, white trim, and natural wood floors serve as a perfect canvas to showcase patterned upholstery, black hardware, and colorful paintings. The kitchen and dining room occupies the space to the left of the foyer and living room and is connected to two garages through a more secluded mudroom and half bath. Off to the rear and adjacent to the kitchen is a screened porch that features a stone fireplace and stunning sunset views.
Occupying the space to the right of the living room and foyer is an understated master suite and spacious study featuring custom cabinets with diagonal bracing. The master bedroom’s en suite has a herringbone patterned marble floor, crisp white custom vanities, and access to a his and hers dressing area.
The four upstairs bedrooms are divided into pairs on either side of the living room balcony. Downstairs, the terraced landscaping exposes the family room and refreshment area to stunning views of the rear yard. The two remaining bedrooms in the lower level each have access to an en suite bathroom.

This happy room shows a vibrant pink and orange palette, grounded with neutral upholstery. Upbeat geometric patterns accent a side chair and fan pleated drapery to play off the painted bookshelves. Calico Corners

Kitchen remodel improved traffic flow and usability of cooking and dining areas, and updated appliances. Formerly a small bedroom and maid's quarters, the new location of the kitchen greatly improved indoor/outdoor to an outdoor patio.

Step into the primary suite of my beloved home, The French Chateau. Designing bedrooms is always a very personal endeavor, and designing our own bedroom was no exception. The space must serve as a sanctuary, providing solace at the end of each day, while also uplifting and inspiring us each morning. However, the task always becomes more complex when we are designing a primary suite for two individuals who may not always share the same vision or aesthetic preferences; my husband and I are no different.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In crafting this space, I desired a room that would bring a smile to our faces whether we were entering or leaving. It needed to encompass beauty that resonated with my love for French, feminine design while also providing comfort for my husband, who has a preference for a richer, more masculine palette.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The design of this primary suite revolves around neutral colors, with a touch of blue—a hue that both of us appreciate—as an accent color. The indulgence of luxurious linens eagerly welcomes us, creating an anticipation for rest after long and bustling days. Throughout the room, you'll notice various cherished family photos adorning our dressers, capturing precious memories. Additionally, a captivating original painting graces a sidewall, showcasing our favorite place, the Jardin des Tuileries at the Louvre in Paris. These personal touches imbue the space with a profound sense of home, rejuvenating our souls and infusing the atmosphere with a unique warmth.

A young colonial in the heart of Rye New York had everything going for it, except a dark and poorly laid out kitchen. The clients tapped Sarah Robertson of Studio Dearborn to help them layout a new kitchen in their challenging, dog leg shaped room. A small breakfast peninsula and working island helped pull together the oddly shaped kitchen into a streamlined, light filled space with all the storage amenities typical of a Studio Dearborn kitchen. The bar area, with undercounter refrigeration for wine and beverages, also features a locking cabinet for liquor and open wine storage. Desk area has file drawer and Docking Drawer charging drawer. Our Boulder studio designed this beautiful home in the mountains to reflect the bright, beautiful, natural vibes outside – an excellent way to elevate the senses. We used a double-height, oak-paneled ceiling in the living room to create an expansive feeling. We also placed layers of Moroccan rugs, cozy textures of alpaca, mohair, and shearling by exceptional makers from around the US. In the kitchen and bar area, we went with the classic black and white combination to create a sophisticated ambience. We furnished the dining room with attractive blue chairs and artworks, and in the bedrooms, we maintained the bright, airy vibes by adding cozy beddings and accessories.

Complete kitchen redesign and remodel with new hardwood floors throughout entire 1st floor and upstairs hall. Wow!! what an island. We removed a half wall separating the kitchen from the morning room and redesigned the space to have a large central island with raised seating. The new island has a large farm sink, dishwasher, Miele speed oven, and plenty of storage. The granite tops in Fantasy Brown on the island and the perimeter tie all the colors together and the custom distressed cherry upper island top adds some texture and pop! Fieldstone cabinetry in the Stratford door in Dove painted finish were designed with stacked wall cabinets to the ceiling with lighted glass upper sections. Simple 3x12 Walker Zanger Café kettle crackle tiles were used for the backsplash in a subway set except for a change to herringbone set at the hood and range area. All new hardwood floors were installed as well as the stairs being refinished to match. New railings, posts, and spindles for the stairs and the foyer gets a whole new look. So much happened in this remodel it can’t all be listed. This new kitchen and basically new 1st floor were well designed and turned out looking fresh and stylish.
