The front elevation sets the tone with its distinctive twin gable roofline and hipped main level roofline. Large forward facing windows are sheltered by a deep and inviting front porch, which is further detailed by its use of square columns, rafter tails, and old world copper lighting. Inside the foyer, all of the public spaces for entertaining guests are within eyesight. At the heart of this home is a living room bursting with traditional moldings, columns, and tiled fireplace surround. Opposite and on axis with the custom fireplace, is an expansive open concept kitchen with an island that comfortably seats four. During the spring and summer months, the entertainment capacity of the living room can be expanded out onto the rear patio featuring stone pavers, stone fireplace, and retractable screens for added convenience. When the day is done, and it’s time to rest, this home provides four separate sleeping quarters. Three of them can be found upstairs, including an office that can easily be converted into an extra bedroom. The master suite is tucked away in its own private wing off the main level stair hall. Lastly, more entertainment space is provided in the form of a lower level complete with a theatre room and exercise space.

This custom estate was built on a beautiful 12 acre lot just outside the city of Frederick, MD. This was a custom home with an extra large 2 car detached garage. The home is 2000 square feet all on one level with a walk out basement. It has a large composite deck with an attached covered screened in porch. The screened in porch will be the first place to go from a busy day at work to take in the beauty of the mountains and let the stress melt away. The charcoal gray exterior turned out beautiful with the stone selection. It all fits very well on top of the mountain.

This patio installation is another great feature to add to this wonderful home. With a patio cover to block the sun and a fan for extra comfort, this area is perfect for the great California weather.

This Houston kitchen remodel turned an outdated bachelor pad into a contemporary dream fit for newlyweds. The client wanted a contemporary, somewhat commercial look, but also something homey with a comfy, family feel. And they couldn't go too contemporary, since the style of the home is so traditional. The clean, contemporary, white-black-and-grey color scheme is just the beginning of this transformation from the previous kitchen, The revamped 20-by-15-foot kitchen and adjoining dining area also features new stainless steel appliances by Maytag, lighting and furnishings by Restoration Hardware and countertops in white Carrara marble and Absolute Black honed granite. The paneled oak cabinets are now painted a crisp, bright white and finished off with polished nickel pulls. The center island is now a cool grey a few shades darker than the warm grey on the walls. On top of the grey on the new sheetrock, previously covered in a camel-colored textured paint, is Sherwin Williams' Faux Impressions sparkly "Striae Quartz Stone." Ho-hum 12-inch ceramic floor tiles with a western motif border have been replaced with grey tile "planks" resembling distressed wood. An oak-paneled flush-mount light fixture has given way to recessed lights and barn pendant lamps in oil rubbed bronze from Restoration Hardware. And the section housing clunky upper and lower banks of cabinets between the kitchen an dining area now has a sleek counter-turned-table with custom-milled legs. At first, the client wanted to open up that section altogether, but then realized they needed more counter space. The table - a continuation of the granite countertop - was the perfect solution. Plus, it offered space for extra seating. The black, high-back and low-back bar stools are also from Restoration Hardware - as is the new round chandelier and the dining table over which it hangs. Outdoor Homescapes of Houston also took out a wall between the kitchen and living room and remodeled the adjoining living room as well. A decorative cedar beam stained Minwax Jacobean now spans the ceiling where the wall once stood. The oak paneling and stairway railings in the living room, meanwhile, also got a coat of white paint and new window treatments and light fixtures from Restoration Hardware. Staining the top handrailing with the same Jacobean dark stain, however, boosted the new contemporary look even more. The outdoor living space also got a revamp, with a new patio ceiling also stained Jacobean and new outdoor furniture and outdoor area rug from Restoration Hardware. The furniture is from the Klismos collection, in weathered zinc, with Sunbrella fabric in the color "Smoke."

All the details for this project came together perfectly to produce a screened porch the homeowners will enjoy for many years. Classic concrete front porch idea in Chicago with a roof extension

This 10,920 square foot house built in 1993 in the Arts and Crafts style is surrounded by 178 acres and sited high on a hilltop at the end of a long driveway with scenic mountain views. The house is totally secluded and quiet featuring all the essentials of a quality life style. Built to the highest standards with generous spaces, light and sunny rooms, cozy in winter with a log burning fireplace and with wide cool porches for summer living. There are three floors. The large master suite on the second floor with a private balcony looks south to a layers of distant hills. The private guest wing is on the ground floor. The third floor has studio and playroom space as well as an extra bedroom and bath. There are 5 bedrooms in all with a 5 bedroom guest house.

Two loveseats with granite top tables are the perfect place for lounging in the afternoon. Pillows and an outdoor rug bring interesting textures to the patio. Behind the loveseats is a pub table for dining and entertaining. Off of the Guest Bedroom and Master Bedroom are more private seating areas for a quite morning cup of coffee or a reading in the afternoons.
