The Equator Marble is a famous natural stone from Turkey, with a considerable history. This marble has been used throughout history in Turkey and is today a reference white marble both in Turkey and abroad. It is extracted by some quarries with small to medium dimension in the island of Marmara, and its blocks can have any dimension. Also called "Fluid, Panda White, Marmara White", is a white coloured marble, with medium grain and uniform background. The Equator Marble is a type of marble with a unique feature: it presents a parallel grey/bluish coloured vein. This parallel vein is what makes this white marble so unique and distinct. Its main variations basically depend on the intensity of the vein.

As a designer it is often hard to walk through a home and not have ideas of transforming the space. Some seem frivolous but fun, others stem from necessity. The ability to work within a historic home, maintain its integrity, but breathe new life from another time is a precious opportunity. This home in Portsmouth’s popular Atlantic Heights neighborhood had, as we say, “good bones.” It’s a traditional gambrel style cottage built of flemish bonded brick. The interior was an equally traditional layout, with central staircase, living spaces to either side, and bedrooms stacked above. There was nothing to improve upon with the layout-some things have staying power for a reason. They’re efficient, they work –its GOOD. READ MORE >> However, the rooms were made smaller by their narrow passageways, the home had no true entrance-guests would be through the door and nearly seated on your couch before coats could be extracted, and certainly and most importantly, the home’s age was evident throughout. The primary goal for this renovation was to improve the home’s basic infrastructure. I created a design to open up the interior and add street appeal. A farmer’s porch, new paint colors, and landscaping achieved the cottage feel. Door openings were removed and wall lengths reduced to create a greater sense of space on the interior. New electrical, plumbing, windows and doors were added to improve the home’s efficiency. A new, larger kitchen was also accommodated and turned out to be icing on the cake for this designer turned domestic diva. Structure and pull out tray in either black lacquered open pore ash or grey smoke lacquered open pore ash. Top and sides in 10 mm thick smoked “Grigio Italia” or extralight glass. Metal parts in brushed black anodized aluminium. Grey wooden accessories tray with velvet bottom to be placed inside the drawers on request. Velvet finishes as per samples.

The TWINS sofa-bed is essentially a sofa with a refined appearance, ready to make a valid decor contribution to any space. It has a slim upholstered back enhanced by soft cushions, and offers the possibility of two independent twin beds that can also be combined to form a double bed. A patented mechanism permits easy extraction of the second bed from below, which is brought to the same level as the other thanks to a pump system activated with a simple touch of the foot. The four back cushions, when the sofa is closed, contain two duvets and two pillows.

The natural White Pine and Red Oak wooded two-acre lot surrounded by wetlands required very careful extraction of the trees. We marked and presented to the Town’s Environmental Department for removal approval to create usable outdoor living areas and room for the house, along with the driveway, space for parking, an outdoor pool and stone patios. To maintain the “upstate” woods feel, the clearing was selective, balancing the home’s main structures with the natural environment.

This precision remodel extracted the tub and replaced it with an alcove walk-in shower with tile in linear drain and long horizontal niche. Maintaining a wall spout offers flexibility for all uses. The back wall and shower floor tile extends into the whole bathroom space which was the only element changed outside of the shower. Careful demo preserved the existing paint treatment on the walls as requested by the homeowner. The glossy black subway tile on either end of the new shower balances the existing black counter and toilet on the opposite side of the room. Linen-textured 12x24 tile completes the shower and flooring. Richards & Sterling tile in the niche pulls together the mixed metals in the space and adds a great feature . Three different carefully selected Schluter edges finishes off the tile perfectly. A single hinged glass partition door keeps the space feeling open and reflects the giant existing window.

Innovative waste bins ELLETIPI, equipped with a patented mechanism for the automatic opening of the lids when opening the cabinet door. The lid opens and the bin is extracted when you open the cabinet door; the lid also closes automatically when the bin returns in the cabinet when you close the door, guaranteeing odor protection. This object is made of polymers, and the fitting and attachment components are filled and reinforced. This system was designed to be installed on the side of the cabinet and connected to the door (not compulsory). Its main objective is to be used internally in kitchen base cabinets, under the sink. Its installation is practical and rapid, thanks to the instructions that can be used as a drilling guide and the supplied 12 self-tapping screws.

The client wanted a modern and functional kitchen with a large island that would require reconfiguring the back of the property to create an efficient, family-friendly space. We selected the Nolte Feel range for this project, opting for Magnolia as the main colour with Lava accents and Silver Matrix Art handleless trims that include integrated lighting. This colour palette and design choice delivered a stylish and contemporary kitchen. The island features a 20mm Silestone Coral Clay worktop, complemented by Nolte Platinum Bough Oak worktops for the other surfaces. All appliances are from NEFF and include a single oven, combination microwave, warming drawer, induction hob, ceiling extraction, full-height fridge, and full-height freezer, as well as a dishwasher. Additional features include a Blanco Subline 1 ½ undermounted sink in Tartufo and a Quooker Fusion Square Stainless Steel instant boiling water tap. We work on a lot of residential tile installations but also cover commercial properties too, such as this new farm office which was in the process of being built in the market town of Driffield, East Yorkshire where a Flagstone tiled floor had been laid at the entrance. Driffield is known as the ‘Capital of the Yorkshire Wolds’ and lies near the source of the River Hull. The farm office project was very big and, with the pressure on to complete it in time, the floor had been laid without being sealed first. As a result, the floor was getting dirty very easily, and was proving difficult to keep clean. It was clear that the Flagstone tiles would need to be cleaned and sealed, and I was called upon to get the job done. To clean the floor I first mixed a 50:50 solution of clean water and Tile Doctor Pro Clean. Pro Clean is a high-alkaline cleaner which is safe to use on a wide range of natural stone floors. The cleaning solution was worked in using a rotary machine fitted with a black buffing pad which proved an effective method, lifting off the dust and residue that had been left on the surface of the Flagstone tiles during the course of construction work. The excess residue was extracted using a wet-vac machine. I then repeated the whole process over again several times in order to get the floor as clean as possible. To seal the floor I used a combination of two different Tile Doctor sealers. Firstly, I applied a layer of Tile Doctor Colour Grow to the floor. This colour intensifying sealer is specially formulated to enhance the fantastic natural colours in the stone, while at the same time providing durable surface protection. The floor was then finished off with a couple of coats of Tile Doctor Seal & Go. This added to the stain resistance of the floor, while also delivering a very nice subtle shine on the surface. All signs of building work have been removed from the stone floor and it is now looking presentable ready for the opening of the new office, the combination sealer applied to the floor will also make sure it stays that way for some time to come. The client was in the midst of a substantial renovation of a period property and sought a kitchen that would complement the home's historic character. When these clients came to us seeking a kitchen renovation, we gladly seized the opportunity to come up with a unique design that was tailored to their needs. Being a fun and trendy younger couple with two daughters, their desire for a completely white kitchen did not seem to suit who they were as a family. We turned towards the rest of their home for inspiration on how we could extract the clients true taste. The recipe for this design came from fine wines and freshly brewed coffee, mixed in with elegance and topped off by a strong sense of family. We kept the desire for the white kitchen, but brought in the warmth of the wood, the fun of the green back splash and the stylish edge of the black appliances. This family can now enjoy their time together in a space that we believe reflects who they are.

Our client in Inverallochy, Fraserburgh wanted a modern and functional kitchen with multiple cooking options, an island with an eating area, and a coffee station. In order to meet these requirements, we had to determine how to block up a window without sacrificing their 180-degree sea view. The grain of the wood adds texture and interest and works beautifully with all the other materials in the space. The VERDE GUATAMALA Stone BENCHTOP is simply gorgeous. Its intensity of colour and its grain make for a wonderful feature island benchtop. The clients fell in love with this stone, as for them it evoked Pounamu.

This St Johns Wood mansion block flat was one of our recent projects with a luxurious property developer in the area. We opened up spaces between the hallway, living area and kitchen to create a much more open feel throughout. A bespoke bench wrapped around the living space providing extra seating as well as storage whilst, keeping as much of the floor space free. Hidden cabling, Samsung Frame TV and biofires helped to add the luxuries without drawing away from the tranquillity.
