Terrible service. Unprofessional and unknowledgeable. Takes no accountability. The team that made them the kitchen experts have all departed. What's left are just experts are making excuses.

We hired Cuisines Nuenza for a Reno of the main floor of our Bungalow. She helped us figure out what we wanted and how to get it without going over budget. I can't say enough. The finished product is beautiful and functional. Cuisines Nuenza was amazing to work with, professional, fun and talented.

I don’t know where to begin my 5-star review of Cuisines Nuenza.
To attempt a kitchen renovation during the pandemic presented a challenge, to say the least. To be given a teeny-tiny space, and be asked to introduce a washer and dryer into the mix seemed unthinkable. But the team at Nuenza took on the task and achieved the impossible with ingenuity, persistence, determination, and an extra large helping of design savvy. Every last millimeter of space was calculated to perfection, storage was maximized to the nth degree, and the end result has been the design and installation of my beautiful and seamlessly functional tiny dream kitchen!
Every member of the team was unfailingly polite and professional, meeting the inevitable challenges with incredible patience and good grace along the way. Nancy, Dora, Tristan, and Sylva have a great dynamic and work together tirelessly to ensure the end result is a happy customer. The installation was impeccably done by calm and steady Georges, who managed to conquer every single obstacle that surfaced along the way.
Without the least hesitation, I can highly recommend the team at Cuisines Nuenza. If they can achieve what they did with my minuscule kitchen, I believe the sky would be the limit for any other project they set their sights on!
The kitchen is tight and doesn’t allow for many camera angles or photos, but…

Your space was certainly small and challenging but we persevered.

We are thrilled with the condo kitchen designed and project-managed by Nuenza. They are professional, inventive, flexible and absolutely trustworthy. They had the design eye and technical skills to tell us what would work best within our budget, and the artistic passion to make it sing. The contractor, cabinetry installers and countertop installers were top-rate. (They have high standards for the trades with whom they collaborate.)
We did this (permitted) reno during Covid restrictions. There were some delays and rework largely because of that difficult situation. Nuenza handled those effectively, stayed in close communication and brought the project to an outstanding conclusion. We recommend them highly! Thank you, Nancy Boudreau, Alex Strati and Sylva Sehac.

Kathleen,
As designers and support staff, it is very important for us to have a good connection with our clients. From the very beginning, we all knew that it would be a fun and successful project. Designers can only go as far as their clients let them, and boy did we travel (a nice thought during these trying times).
This past year has been full of adjustments amongst an ever changing world, and we wanted to thank you for your patience despite the unforeseen set-backs. We were there until the very end of the project, as you deserved a perfect space!
Looking forward to a good glass of wine, and you're always welcome to drop by!

We started our journey with Nuenza in the late summer of 2020, when we bought a small condo in the Plateau that needed a lot of love. Dora reached out to us, and we immediately clicked! So the process started of figuring out what we wanted to do with the kitchen, the bathroom, and a lot of polish all around the house. She was the perfect match for us as a designer, and made it all so much FUN for us, with the least amount of stress possible. And that means a lot when you are renovating during a global pandemic, while moving, and working full-time! Thank you Dora!!
Once the designs were done, we were matched with the most amazing contracting team, and we cannot recommend Guillaume and his coworkers highly enough. Overall that process of renovation went really smooth, with a lot of updates so we could give our input and keep updated on the progress. The pandemic caused some minor delays, but every single time Dora and the team of Nuenza tried to help as much as possible to provide alternatives or even a placeholder when we decided a stove was worth waiting for.
I think the only challenge we faced I was less happy with was the work done by the installer from Miralis. While we are incredibly happy with the Miralis products, the installer made some errors and scratches, and for that reason we would not work with this installer again. Nuenza's team made sure all that was fixed and addressed, so no complaints there on how they handled that - in fact I would expect things to happen during extensive renos, and this was resolved easily and professionally.
Our home is now finished and we have been living in since December. We couldn't be happier. Turns out I like moving and renovating, so maybe in a few years we will do it again; I would not hesitate to reach out to Nuenza again!
We should have photos to share in a few weeks !

Hi Anouk, Thank you for trusting the process and our team. Renovating and moving is never easy and we made sure we addressed all of your concerns during the entire process. Dora truly loved designing and working with you. We are glad to hear that you had fun and would do it again with our team.
We are so excited to feature your beautiful home on our website. Looking forward to seeing the photos once our photographer has visited your home.

To say that they are kitchen pros would be a far cry from the truth.
I worked with them as a Sub-Contractor from July of 2019 until September of 2019, and didn't get paid for a balance of over $3000 on 2 different jobs.
The owner has finished a designing school and uses kitchens manufactured from a reputable manufacturer, however when it comes designing the kitchen I would say that she and her design team are below average.
When installing a kitchen you are supposed to have straight surfaces so that the kitchen comes level, however they don't take that under consideration to request it from the renovation contractors and give the client false hopes without pointing out the defects of the house just so that they can make the sale. As a result the client ends up frustrated and dissatisfied.
They approached me by finding my add for IKEA kitchen installations and asked me to collaborate with them for the installation part. After explaining to them that I had not worked with custom kitchens before they agreed to work with me and asked that I don't tell the clients that I just started working with them but that I had been working with them for over a few years, to which I agreed.
When we started installing kitchens there were always problems, from the location not being ready for a proper installation to kitchen cabinets not being properly ordered. During the process I'm not saying that we were perfect, we made a few minor mistakes which we corrected and were even willing to reel the costs, however dealing with Nuenza was a nightmare for us as was for the clients.
So, unless you want to order an overpriced headache, I would never recommend Nuenza.

Comment from Cuisines Nuenza:
Tony Vezina,
In my 20+ years as a design professional in the industry, never have I ever worked with such a mediocre cabinet installer. As an installer used to working with standard cabinets, we made sure to go over the plans in excruciating detail with you before the installations. We made sure to be available during said installations and made sure to visit every job site while you were working. We remained at your disposal at all times in case you had any questions or concerns. If you were not comfortable accepting the challenge, you should have said so rather than happily accept, instead of giving us false hopes about your abilities as an installer.
As a reputable design studio should, we visit the homes prior to the work beginning, and make sure all is in order to receive the cabinets. If contracting work is being done by our contractor, we rectify what needs to be done in the space before installing our cabinets. If the labor of rectifying the space is too costly, we take the necessary measures for the cabinets to be installed accordingly. Our clients are always kept informed throughout the renovation process. We see this as an investment for them, and want to make sure they make the best decisions for their homes.
Not only do you install cabinets poorly, but your professionalism is greatly lacking. Every single one of our clients for whom you installed did not want you returning into their homes. One of our clients went as far as to request that one of our team will be present for the entire duration that you were there as she was not comfortable with you, at which point we pulled you off the project and brought in another installer.
Saying that you made minor mistakes would be an understatement. For every single job you did, our other installers were forced to return and correct the mistake you and your team made. Your poor labor ended up costing Nuenza far more than the initial price of installation. To this day, you have still paid nothing for all of your costly mistakes, which is why your account remains unsettled. In fact, the cost of fixing your mistakes far surpasses the owed amount, which we prefer to leave in the past and move on, rather than pursue.
Let us not forget;
Client 1;
1. You screwed in your level on a freshly painted wall, leaving it needing plaster work and repainting.
2. You screwed through the back panels of the island, leaving gaping holes.
3. The toe-kicks we're poorly installed and edge banded where they did not need to be.
4. All fascias were poorly installed, upside down and in butt-joints.
5. Holes were made in the doors while installing handles, resulting in all doors needing to be changed.
Client 2;
1. The floors we're crooked, the building dates back to 1910 which is why the entire kitchen was ordered on adjustable legs. The cost of leveling off the floors was very high and the client decided against it. In a situation like this, your appliances are the determining factor of the level point (36" in height). This basic installation knowledge, which we personally displaced ourselves to explain to you.
2. Poorly installed fascias.
3. Finished panels were used as fillers, resulting in us having to reorder some.
4. A project that should be done within 2 days at most took you 6 days, and not even to completion. Another installer was sent to repair and complete your less than desirable work.
Client 3;
1. All island panels were inverted and had to be reordered.
2. Other panels were used as fillers, resulting in a lack of panels for the pantry area.
3. Fascias were installed flush-cabinet rather than flush door, which was specified on the plans.
4. You told the client to adjust the doors themselves, rather than complete the work yourself.
5. This is the point at which the client refused that you return, and the job was given to another installer to complete.
A mistake was done on our part. We rectified this in a way that surpassed our clients expectations by enhancing the original design.
We did not have a choice but to take a risk by hiring you, and we fully trusted you with our projects. Unfortunately, our team spent months fixing your mistakes. It was absolutely demoralizing and draining. Never again. Our clients and ourselves had to suffer the aftermath of your incompetence, but we will make sure our reputation does not.
Sincerely,

I contacted Cuisines Nuenza and Nancy Boudreau based solely on their Houzz reviews because as a newcomer to Montreal, I felt that that would be a reliable recommendation. Our first consultation with them was very promising, and we felt that they understood not just our needs but the look we were aiming for, and the finished product confirms that they did. Our designer, Alexander Strati, was extremely agreeable and amenable to our many questions and he strove to give us a kitchen that would reflect us, and also complement the dark wood and glass bar side of the kitchen that we had decided to retain. His design, therefore, needed to be seamless and flawless so that the earlier style fitted with the new, the modern with the classic, and at the same time allow a natural flow into the dining area. This was expertly achieved via his uncomplicated design and recommendations of easy colours, simple finishes and textures, and the clean lines and angles of the cabinetry and island. Our choice of back splash has personal significance for us and lends a sense of airiness and light, which, in a kitchen with no windows is a wonderful asset. My husband and I spend a great deal of time in the kitchen, and I very much enjoy what it has become.

Comment from Cuisines Nuenza:
Sharon,
It was a pleasure working with you and your husband.
We enjoyed working with all of the design elements to bring together a concept that you can feel at peace in. We combine the more classic feel of the existing bar with straight contemporary lines, all the while using a softer pallet truly made the space inviting.
We are pleased to know that you are enjoying your new kitchen and you get to wake up to that beautiful beach imprinted on a vinyl backsplash.
We enjoyed adding your personal touch to make your own.
That beach was your childhood beach.
It's that place we all need rest in, home.
Enjoy

We are extremely pleased with our new kitchen, which turned out to be more beautiful and functional than we had imagined. Alexander masterfully managed the creative process, attentively identifying our tastes while evolving the design using his technical prowess. The stunning open kitchen enlivens and brightens the main floor, and has become the center of the house. We were impressed with Nuenza’s flexibility, their support and attention to our budget. We’re looking forward to entrusting our bathroom renovations to Nuenza.

Philippe,
It was an absolute pleasure to work with you on your renovation project. Getting to know you and your taste in order to create that perfect space for you was a great experience. What really made space was the tremendous effort we put in to get that beautiful waterfall of a backsplash that cascaded onto the countertop, running throughout the kitchen.
Thank you for everything, despite still waiting for my seashell (eco-tourism, I know...)
Looking forward to future projects!

Spring and summer 2019 were dedicated to the building of our new, astounding kitchen. There are good reasons why the final product turned out even more spectacular than the already impressive design project. Our designer, Alexandre Strati, whose work is original, bold and rich in detail, started off by figuring what we were about. This approach brought clarity and a vision took shape, with which we could identify. Our questions and concerns were answered promptly, the solutions proposed were inventive, quality remained the first exigence overall.
Since we live in Ontario, this was a “long distance” process where coordination between the teams bringing together their skills was crucial. In order for everyone to perform at their best, we allowed for the time needed. Nuenza exercises best judgement where important decisions are concerned: choice of appliances, of the various materials needed for cabinetry and for the island, reliability of its sourcing. As a result, not only are the many components fitting well and looking good together, but they also function flawlessly. As a consequence, doing what one does in the kitchen is elevated to a new category in the realm of pleasurable experiences. Here resides the best reason for an inspired decision, that of having chosen this Montreal company to do our kitchen in Belleville.

Nancy and her team helped us design and update our existing stock kitchen and bathroom to something a little more modern that reflects our unique style and taste. They were both professional and flexible as new requests, constraints and issues arose throughout the project, enabling them to not only deliver our project within an agreed upon schedule and budget, but at a level of overall quality that we had come to expect.

Cuisines Nuenza works closely with the client to create the look you want, while respecting budget & never compromising on functionality. My kitchen is close to 10 years old yet it stands the test of time both in durability & design. I love to cook in my kitchen & even after all this time, the personal touches make my kitchen unique & timeless! Our 2 bathrooms are small but we manage to maximize the storage while creating a beautiful space. Together with Nancy, I just designed a armoire closet & mural hooks to transform my tiny entrance into a room that has maximized the storage & says “welcome to our home”! I always look forward to working on new projects with Nancy.

Hi Lisa,
I've loved working with you over the years. Even after 10 years your kitchen and bathroom are still relevant today. We still use the pictures of your kitchen to show new clients a classic kitchen.
Now we are working on a new project for your front entrance. I've attached 3D images of the closet we design together. Look forward to seeing it installed.

Comment from Cuisines Nuenza:
Bonjour M Claude Gravel.
It is unfortunate that your project was the only one that had manufacturing issues. On your first visit to Nuenza you researched Miralis and understood the quality of their product and why we stand behind their products.
The kitchen was delivered on Aug 31st and on the arrival of the cabinetry one unit was too large and one pantry was missing. We moved the pantry in the hallway /living room, and we proceeded to install the kitchen as scheduled. The templating date of the countertops was respected, and the countertop was installed on Sept 20th. The over sized unit was removed and Miralis quickly replaced both pantries and were installed by September 29th. Which means, you had a fully functioning kitchen by then. Unfortunately, the panels on the island were also manufactured incorrectly. We addressed the issues and they were replaced. The only thing left was finishing the seam between the two panels and that was completed on December 11th once we were back in your neighborhood.
We acknowledged the mistakes and we went over and above to accommodate you. Cabinets were modified on site to suit your needs. 3 additional hidden drawers were included in your kitchen. Additional hardware was provided for the additional cabinet modifications you bought once the cabinetry was on site. And we provided and installed a replacement door that was scratched by the granite company you hired. All, at no cost to you.
It was unfortunate that there were mistakes. Nuenza and Miralis handled the situation in the most professional manner to complete the project. We assure that the issues did not delay your family from having a functional kitchen.
We are not sure what more we could have done to satisfy you under the circumstances. We chose to go over and above to accommodate your extra demands.
Nuenza prides itself on it’s 5-star service and we strive to have business partners who have the same philosophy.
We want to put our energy in our passion for unique creative design.
In the end you do have a beautifully finished kitchen. We understand the extra frustrations, but we do not feel like this project deserves a 1-star review.
