The integrated LED lighting is fully dimmable via remote control, allowing the atmosphere to be adjusted effortlessly from subtle ambient illumination to a more dramatic visual effect. In addition, the lighting system has been seamlessly integrated into the villa’s existing home automation (domotics) system, providing intuitive control and enhancing the overall smart-home experience. After installation, the entire feature wall was professionally finished and sprayed in a custom RAL colour, creating a refined and cohesive appearance that perfectly complements the interior design of the villa. We took this awkward bathroom, with its tiny shower and toilet in the center of the floor, and created an oasis that is not just functional, but also luxurious and sophisticated. Below a custom mirror, the gray bathroom vanity features a white quartz waterfall edge countertop. The toilet has been relocated to the other side of the vanity and is now mounted to the wall. The heated floors are covered in a gray herringbone pattern that complements the custom gray built-in cabinets - perfect for storing towels, supplies and personal items. The walls have large scale tiles arranged in a diamond pattern, with an accent wall in a warm ash-color. And finally, to create a high-end experience, we installed a bubble jet freestanding tub which sits in front of the 10’ wide shower, featuring a wall niche with LED light.

One of the design challenges of this project was creating a contemporary pool in a courtyard space all while ensuring an existing multi-trunk live oak tree stays. This custom pool has three custom Bobe water features, full automation though the homeowners iPhone, LED lighting and natural limestone decking.

SCD was engaged to design and build an oasis of shade for lounging and entertaining as the focal point of this spectacular outdoor living space. Design Criteria: - Provide shelter from the sun and wind. - Create a light and open area – avoid creating an enveloping “building”. Our design intent for both bathrooms was to create a contemporary, clean look that matched the high-rise unit. For the Guest Bathroom, we carefully chose a shower tile that had a variation with different white and grey hues that not only ties in with the rest of the finishes but also further enhances movement and when flipped vertically, gives the impression of a taller shower. This 1980s bathroom was originally a closet and galley shaped master bath for two. It was cramped, dark and nonfunctional for 2 people to dress in the morning. We demolished walls and fixtures to replace with a focal wall of Porcelanosa tile, laid on the vertical to mimic waves of high and low undulations. The vanity cabinets were custom made to float without base supports. Self closing glides and push open mechanisms make the cabinets highly functional. Electrical outlets are hardwired behind the drawers to conceal clutter. Undermount rectangular sinks from Kohler.
