The living room was long and narrow but with an amazing bay window. Instead of a galley style living room used by the previous owner, we decided to change the furniture arrangement by putting one big comfy L-shaped sectional all the way to one side to create a pass-through area enabling a better foot traffic. We then added two side chairs for extra seats. We also mounted our TV on top of the fireplace to gain more space. Although it's not my favorite design choice to have TV on top of the fireplace because I think it takes away from the fireplace but we had to work within the limitation of the space.
For the fireplace, we bought wood stove insert and inserted it into the existing masonry fireplace. The look was updated by granite tiles around the insert and custom built wood mantel.
Buying wood fireplace insert was the best decision we made. First of all, it created a memorable space in our home. I LOVE the sound of wood cracking and the smell of wood burning. In winter nights we would sit around the fireplace and make s'mores like it's a campfire. Second, it's a clean burning and efficient heater. You don't lose the majority the fire’s heat up the chimney thereby saving money on your heating bill.
The coffee table is purchased from Wicker Emporium and it's made from reclaimed pine timbers giving the house a rustic feel.
The side chair by the fireplace is the perfect spot for me to relax, put my feet up on the large ball shaped knitted foot rest and enjoy a cup of cappuccino or cozy up with a good book.

This style is the embodiment of the American Dream, you can just smell the Apple Pie baking and hear the kids tossing the ball around in the yard. Frontier Custom Builders, Inc prove time and time again the some of the best designs are among the most simple. This space is the perfect combination of space and charm with a unique Southern type flair.

This project is an elegant transformation that takes a dated kitchen and living room and removes all of the heavy visual weight to make way for a clean and crisp collection of spaces that are quintessentially Colorado! This project was not without issue: the initial contractor completely dropped the ball and left the space unfinished and in disrepair. After battling through the process of getting things on track for almost a year, the end result is truly worth it. The kitchen's old oak cabinets were removed and replaced with gorgeous transitional white cabinetry from Waypoint Living Spaces. We created a monochromatic palette that moves the eye through the space using texture and light. The far end of the kitchen is highlighted by a large artisan wood range hood, mini-brick stacked stone backsplash, and gorgeous marble inspired quartz countertops. The floors were refinished to a lighter and brighter hardwood, and new lighting was introduced throughout the home. In the living room, we removed the faux wall treatment on the fireplace and have replaced this with a sparkling white stacked stone. One of our favorite features is the custom shelving and copper-lined wood bin next to the fireplace, along with the hand-hewn mantle from KC Heister. This home is a welcoming winter wonderland that is cheery and cozy at every turn! We love this result and are so happy that our clients finally get to enjoy this for years to come! Thanks so much to Grace Combs for these gorgeous interior shots!

Various elements of textures and colours come together to form this lovely family room. We kept the walls light in order to make the space feel airy. The furniture was kept clean to avoid too much clutter and rustic outdoor elements such as the stone fireplace and wood tables brought nature into this space.

This renovation was inspired by the owner's love of color, and by the 1940s vintage of the cottage--specifically, the colors of classic American dishware of that era, such as Fiesta and Jadeite. In the new space, handmade coral tile and green cabinets provide a splash of tropical color to help counteract the gray Pacific Northwest climate outside. A fresh green tile fireplace surround unifies the living and dining spaces. Photos: Anna M Campbell

Our Pasadena studio renovated this dated 1980s condominium with a refreshing new kitchen and living area design. We started by choosing a black and white color theme – the client’s favorite!
In the kitchen, we added custom wood cabinets, stainless appliances, touchless plumbing fixtures, durable quartz countertops, and pretty patterned backsplash tiles that make it a fun space for entertaining.
The dining space was designed to look modern, elegant, and stylish. Decorative glass artwork on the walls adds an attractive focal point. A sleek mid-century modern dining set from Brownstone Furniture features seating upholstered in Veri Peri, the 2022 Pantone Color of Year.
The living room got a luxe look when we updated the brick fireplace and firebox with modern white porcelain tiles, black glass chips, and decorative ceramic balls to evoke a chic hotel lobby.

A color-saturated family-friendly living room. Walls in Farrow & Ball's Brinjal, a rich eggplant that is punctuated by pops of deep aqua velvet. Custom-upholstered furniture and loads of custom throw pillows. A round hammered brass cocktail table anchors the space. Bright citron-green accents add a lively pop. Loads of layers in this richly colored living space make this a cozy, inviting place for the whole family.
