Make you live space look like a greenhouse might be a new trend in interior design. Houses with high ceiling is best for creating this look. But having an entire wall made of plant will take you tons of effort to maintain the look, an easier way is to opt for green paint, to be more specified choose green that have a hint of grey, such as olive, moss are excellent for creating this leafy look. A brownish color for ceiling can bring warmness to all the green. Try not to paint the whole house entirely with green and brown, after all you still want your house to look like a home not a zoo. Lighting between 4000K to 5000K is recommend, cove lighting is also a nice thing to have in this situation. Cooler light for the main light source, such as ceiling light and flush mount; warmer light as accent and decoration lights and you’ll never go wrong.

Who wouldn't fall in love with the Water Street building, and the elegant industrial vibe? The light that floods in through the floor-to-ceiling windows makes this a perfect spot to entertain and host friends from California or adult kids who visit. The location can't be beat--these clients ride their bikes to meet friends for lunch or a tour through the Hirschhorn. We knocked down a wall to open the kitchen, and added modern furnishings punctuated by splashes of deep orangey-red. High contrast and lots of rich textures can be found throughout this urban loft. DECEMBER 2014 For this project the guest bedroom was decorated in a soft neutral palette flanked with a dramatic picture window. The contemporary Concorde glass and chrome semi flush mount adds to the airy feeling in this space. The artistic glass hand blown glass pear elements of the light fixture complete this tranquil bedroom.

They came in with a couple of sets of drawings from different architects that were not quite what they were looking for, so we set out to really listen and try to provide a design that would meet their objectives given what the space could offer. We started by agreeing that a bump out was the best way to go and then decided on the size and the floor plan locations of the mudroom, powder room and butler pantry which were all part of the project. We also planned for an eat-in banquette that is neatly tucked into the corner and surrounded by windows providing a lovely spot for daily meals. The kitchen itself is L-shaped with the refrigerator and range along one wall, and the new sink along the exterior wall with a large window overlooking the backyard. A large island, with seating for five, houses a prep sink and microwave. A new opening space between the kitchen and dining room includes a butler pantry/bar in one section and a large kitchen pantry in the other. Through the door to the left of the main sink is access to the new mudroom and powder room and existing attached garage. White inset cabinets, quartzite countertops, subway tile and nickel accents provide a traditional feel. The gray island is a needed contrast to the dark wood flooring. Last but not least, professional appliances provide the tools of the trade needed to make this one hardworking kitchen. For three years this Westlake Village couple lived in a house that didn't quite fit their needs. With frequent houseguests staying for weeks at a time, the family needed more space, particularly in the cramped kitchen. So began their search for a new home.
