A dazzling Elk Winter Forest pendant stands out beautifully against the gold accent wall of this modern living room. The Winter Forest is a multi light pendant in an aged silver finish. At the center is a soft organza diffuser surrounded by delicate branches and accented with prismatic crystal buds. This pendant would also look fantastic in a dining room.

Designed by Marc Jean-Michel of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Bethesda, MD in collaboration with Judy Carr, this transitional style inspired two-finish kitchen design features Green Forest Cabinetry in the Park Place door style in White wall cabinets and Norfolk Blue base cabinets. Not supplied by Reico on this project but for product reference, this kitchen also features Arctic White quartz countertops by MSI, a Big Chill Beach Blue Retro Collection Original refrigerator, Affinity Tile Cuivre Collection in Happy tile backsplash and the Jenny 9" Mini pendant light by Mitzi over the kitchen sink. TER won an honorary mention as a part of the YAC’s Calamity Atelier Competition, in addition to the prestigious A' Design Award for Interior Space & Exhibition Design 2019-2020. The Calamity Atelier competition was based in the art forest of Arte Sella in northern Italy that was in recent years destroyed by a storm. The focus was to bring back life to the forest through the design of a number of spaces. Design concept description: Stability is a universal value one seeks to reach in their lifetime. Given the recent events that shook the core of Art Sella, the basis of its recovery should be in the form of a stable foundation. The design concept of TER, Malga Costa’s new restaurant expansion, derives from 3 main ideas: 1. What does a “stable” space feel like? Psychologically and physically. 2. The connection between the forest land and the food that is served at the restaurant. 3. How to integrate this space harmoniously into the forest in a way in which it will live cohesively with the neighboring artwork, nature, and people. The idea of stability is translated through mass, shape, and materials. Different from most of the forest’s artwork, TER looks like a massive boulder rearing in the forest. The stone exterior makes up the majority of the interior as well, acting as its base material. With the materials, there is a clear balance of old and new. The old acts as the foundation and pays homage to the area’s roots whereas the new alludes to a burgeoning future. Together, they play a game of layering and develop throughout the space. The connection between the land and the food comes through the method of cooking in the restaurant- which is campfire cooking. In the center of the plan, there is an open outdoor space that is used to cook foods on an open fire. The plan is designed in a circular motion around the open space in order to fully commit to this concept. Everyone in the four areas of the restaurant can view and enjoy the chefs at work, creating a seemingly interactive dining experience. The restaurant blends into its surroundings by acting as another rock in the landscape. It is differentiated by the smoke arising from its center, which creates a sense of allure and intrigue. It’s a sight that draws people in toward the center – reestablishing the core essence of Art Sella.

Hidden in a dark forest of wood cabinets and brown granite tile counters, the best parts of this mid-century style kitchen were lost. The family’s most loved feature of the existing space was the interior redwood siding than ran through the home so we celebrated its beauty by making it stand out. Removing an enclosed pantry and peninsula opened up the space and allowed us to create a large central island “hub” which functions equally well as a gathering space for parties or a quiet spot for homework. New recessed lights & natural sunshine from the large windows bounces off the high-gloss white cabinetry and white counters, reflecting light throughout the space. Inspiration for a modern dining room remodel in Seattle

The littlest member of the family loves animals and it seemed only fitting that her bedroom should be filled with woodland creatures. Our team installed hundreds of white birch wallpaper "trees, branches, and leaves". A collage of canvas artwork depicts animals while colorful drapery make the room feel cozy. An upholstered swivel chair is the perfect for reading stories and a large area rug serves a playtime central.

Inspiration for a mid-sized farmhouse master brown tile and porcelain tile porcelain tile and beige floor bathroom remodel in Philadelphia with brown cabinets, a two-piece toilet, gray walls, an undermount sink, granite countertops and flat-panel cabinets

This house is set on a sunny natural plateau, sheltered from the wind and enjoys magnificent views of Sutton Mounts and Echo. The layout of the house integrates harmoniously with the surrounding forest, opening to nature through large expanses of glass and terraces that connect the living spaces to the forest. A long roof shelters the house, its deep eaves acting as a sunshade and defining protected outside spaces. The wide south and east terraces, close to ground level, bring the house into contact with its site and enjoy lots of sunshine. A screen porch is strategically located to avoid blocking the primary views and provides access to the forest. The living living spaces are arranged in an open layout under a ceiling ceiling that reaches 12 feet in height, yet more intimate spaces such as the fireplace alcove modulate the spaces between the higher volumes. The construction will achieve Novoclimat certification and integrates among other things a radiant floor fed by a geothermal heating system. This project was completed in collaboration with engineers and Construction Boivin.

Transitional home office photo in Kent

We designed a “tree house” suspended above the ground on glued-laminated timber columns supporting two stories, forty feet above the forest floor. Suquamish means “place of clear water”. The care of the land that drove this residence included simple strategies for capturing rain and percolating storm water, minimal excavation and removal of soils, low-impact concrete foundations, and a light structure that captures views of the forest, water, and a distant Seattle skyline to the east.
