The first historic renovation project in Nantucket to receive LEED Gold status. The project was given a Grand Award by Eco Home Magazine in July, 2011. The project included: Restructuring the foundations to align and stabilize the structure in addition to providing for a new insulated crawl space; A 260 square foot addition for a kitchen, bath, and new entry; New cedar shingles, roof shingles, and restored historic windows; The house met the strict regulations of Nantucket's Historic District. On the inside, LEED Gold certification was met through: High R-value insulation and reduced air leakage; High efficiency heating, air conditioning, plumbing fixtures, and appliances; Low-emission paints and finishes as well as a clay wall finish; Using reclaimed materials from the original house and other sites. We were tasked with creating a bathroom that would be both memorable and special—that also aligned with the style of the house. A bespoke, purple painted clawfoot bathtub delighted our clients and creates an unforgettable bathroom experience. Complete gut and redesign of the first floor bathroom including removal of the original shower. Design includes sink, plumbing, tile, lighting, wallpaper, window treatments, and accessories.

Inset cabinetry painted Linen and Gray with a brush finish. Brushed gold accents and vintage gold faucets complete the look. Spanish inspired cement tiles pair well with the existing flooring.

This beautiful transitional powder room with wainscot paneling and wallpaper was transformed from a 1990's raspberry pink and ornate room. The space now breathes and feels so much larger. The vanity was a custom piece using an old chest of drawers. We removed the feet and added the custom metal base. The original hardware was then painted to match the base.

The Majestic range from Ilve in cobalt blue. The bonnet hood was custom designed to match the range. Cabinets in knotty butternut with antique glass panels, glass cup pulls. Inspiration for a timeless front door remodel in Dallas with a red front door

For her own home in New Canaan, CT, Shelley Morris gutted a mid-century, ranch style house, transforming it inside and out. Reinvisioning the exterior architectural elevation and interior floor plan, the designer orchestrated rich, textured materials including Venetian plaster walls, reclaimed wood beams, floor to ceiling mutton windows, wide plank white oak floors, painted custom millwork, and horizontal wainscot. Raising ceiling heights in most of the rooms (either cathedral or tray style), she also introduced round windows, French doors, a black granite surround fireplace, and all-new bathrooms, kitchen, plumbing and lighting. The furnishings are a layered collage of subtle textures and color.
