The great room flows onto the large lanai through pocketing glass doors creating a seamless indoor outdoor experience. On the lanai teak daybeds imported from Bali face each other with custom blue covers and throw pillows in blue with coral motifs, the rectangular pool is complete with an aqua lounge, built-in spa, and a swim up bar at the outdoor BBQ. The flooring is a gray ceramic tile, the pool coping is natural puka pavers, The house a combination of traditional plantation style seen in the white board and batten walls, with a modern twist seen in the wood framed glass doors, thick square exposed tails and ebony stained square posts supporting the overhangs.

The beautifully patterned stained wood ceiling is the star of this Italian Country inspired master bedroom. The room is anchored by a blue and ivory Oushak rug which contrasts with the roughhewn texture of the hardwood flooring and the honey stained moldings. A gold sunburst mirror hangs above the iron bed whose headboard is dressed in ivory leather and coordinates with the tones of the plaster walls. Bedcoverings include an ivory matelassé coverlet, beige and aqua paisley print European shams, and a monogrammed blue velvet throw pillow. Blue glass lamps sit atop soft gray stained bedside chests. Hanging above each chest is a pair of tiny paintings, each depicting a bucolic landscape. At the foot of the bed stands a Queen Anne style bench upholstered in a blue and ivory geometric fabric. Hanging from bronze drapery hardware are elegantly embroidered draperies, which pull together the serene blue and ivory tones of the room.

This semi-casual living space was created by Home Stylist, Sarah Macklem of The Yellow Cape Cod. Sarah created two separate zones in this large open space. One end of the room is a reading nook with a pair of accent chairs and ottoman next to the bookcase. The other end of the space is a conversation zone created by a pair of arm chairs, a sumptuous sofa and occasional tables. Touches of whimsy were incorporated to keep the mood light. An Oushak rug in tones of vanilla, beige and robin’s egg blue anchors two Chesterfield sofas covered in cream chenille and accented with bronze nails.
