An inviting basement remodel that we designed to meet all the comforts and luxuries of our clients! Cool tones of gray paired with gold and other rich earth tones offer a warm but edgy contrast. Depth and visual intrigue is found top to bottom and side to side with carefully selected vintage vinyl tile flooring, bold prints, rich organic woods. By annexing an unused portion of the original garage into the kitchen, we were able to open up the room considerably, improve the home's energy efficiency, and also introduce loads of natural light to the first floor. In particular, we replaced a very old boiler and water heater, and subsequently removed the chimney that originally served them. This allowed us to then install gable windows in the old garage area, which can be seen here above the double stoves.

Hallway - mid-sized modern hallway idea in Dallas with white walls

This light and airy kitchen is the definition of elegance. It has white shaker cabinets with satin gold pulls topped with white quartz counters. The matching white quartz backsplash provides a clean look. The center piece of the room is the large island! With seating for four, the deep blue island is loaded with storage and has a drawer microwave. For a special touch on the white quartz counter, we used an extra thick quartz slab. The striking gold pendants are from Ferguson Lighting. Sleek and contemporary, this beautiful home is located in Villanova, PA. Blue, white and gold are the palette of this transitional design. With custom touches and an emphasis on flow and an open floor plan, the renovation included the kitchen, family room, butler’s pantry, mudroom, two powder rooms and floors. This Eichler's atrium has been covered by a ridge-type skylight, rather than a typical flat skylight. In this picture, the skylight is partially retracted. Look closer, and you'll see that the closer of the two beams has been built up. That's one of the advantages of Eichlers: they have thick beams running the depth of the house that are perfectly suited to support the weight of a retractable skylight. In the image, the close beam is load-bearing, as is the beam inside the wall on the right side.
