This client wanted a bathroom that would feel like an escape to her favorite coastal oasis. She supplied the mirror which we used for inspiration along with her artwork of coastal scenery and shells. We started with clean white subway tile with accents of sea glass. The blue custom made vanity hue came from the sea glass tile and we installed a white quartz top for simplicity. We used rustic whitewashed wood for the walls in a slightly creamier hue so the bathroom didn't come across as sterile and seemed a bit aged over time. The flooring material has hints of gray and colors from both the wood and subway tile to pull it all together. You do feel as though you just stepped into a beach cottage! These clients were impressed with how the final project fit each element they desired into their small backyard space. The covered outdoor structure and heaters provide this western Washington family with the opportunity to enjoy the space year-round! The Belgard pavers used throughout the space provide continuity.

Rather than the large volumes created by high ceilings, the clients wanted the design to embrace the charm and human scale of the early 1900’s Spanish homes. They also desired to create a front yard conducive to mingling with neighbors who strolled the lush Casa Blanca neighborhood, one unique for Paradise Valley.

This master on-suite bathroom feels sophisticated in it's mix of dark and light materials, from the dark grey-stained vanity and mirror, dark sable bronze finished faucetry by Sigma Faucet, and Slate Tile mixed with the light counters, dark faux stacked stone accent tile and light wood-look tile flooring.

These spaces were layered with striking silhouettes, textural patterns, and inviting colors. Custom french doors welcome guests to this European influenced eclectic home with balcony and iron railings. The double chimneys, arch-topped dormer, oval window, and flared eaves are a nod to the French influence. A raised arched pediment with detailed relief formalizes the access to the home. The watery Venetian damask from Zoffany sets the mood for this Pied a Terre bedroom. We wrapped the room in a color pulled from the paper, even the doors and moldings are in this color. The wallpaper softens the hard lines of the industrial style metal bed from CB2. To purists the placement of the refurbished Mid Century nightstands with the wallpaper may seem inappropriate, but I think the nightstands are a tailored response to the exuberance of the paper. Also, if you watch TCM on a regular basis you would see such mixes all the time. The Chinese Mirror and Japanese prints reflect my client's interest in Asia and add another layer to the mix.

These clients requested a highly functional backyard transformation. We worked with the clients to create several separate spaces in the small area that flowed together and met the family's needs. The stone fire pit continued the porcelain pavers and the custom stone-work from the outdoor kitchen space. Natural elements and night lighting created a restful ambiance.
