As a design-build firm, the designer's focus for every project is to create a space that will not only suit the lifestyle of their clients, but also incorporate their personalities and sentimental belongings to truly make the home feel that it was built custom to them. This project encompassed the style and reclaimed artifacts from a completely different century. With timely features such as stacked stone, hand troweled limestone stucco, leaded glass windows, re-claimed 18th century European doors, slate and lead roof, gas lanterns and more, the clients wanted to replicate a traditional European home.

The designers were forced by site constraints to place the front door substantially pointed at the side of the neighbor's property. Deed restrictions prohibited a conventional privacy fence, and a fortress-like barrier was undesirable. The designer only had a little space to fit both plantings and the new metal screening. They worked out a patchwork of interesting metal mesh and other metal panels, along with more conventional iron fence pales and stock wire, to visually tie the new metal screening to fences found elsewhere on the property.

Packer Residence
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
PA Landscape Group, Inc.
The Packer Residence sits on a sloped, mountain side. One drives up a curving driveway to the entry and is welcomed by retaining walls and natural boulders. Guests receive a sense of arrival and the owners have open usable space.
On the entry level, one walks through a breezeway to view the expansive valley, as well as the relaxing fireplace and living area below. Walking down the stairway of natural slab cut stone, one enjoys a landscaped garden patio. This 6,200 square feet project uses concrete pavers.
On the other side of the living area are raised planters and a greenhouse. Leaving the fenced area, natural slab stone risers along a waterfall flows down to a natural firepit to view the lower front yard and property entrance.

The unique feature of this contemporary space is that the first floor area is designed to be a working office and the second floor is a balcony library. The second floor space contains large walls of books stored on milled book shelves and cabinetry matching that of the first floor. The large windows provide stunning views to a meticulously landscaped lake.

Shake siding is used in whole house applications or as an accent, most commonly on gables and dormers. These profiles add distinction to a design and greatly enhance curb appeal. Because of the versatility of the technology, vinyl siding can comprehensively recreate a great variety of shingle profiles in this creative cladding type.

In the design, different materials and colors were used and also a combination of masonry work, natural stone, lighting, azek pergola and pavers. The different textures and shapes all come together to create a beautiful unique barn venue. The fireplace, fire pit and lights all give the venue a cozy charming atmosphere.

The extensive renovation of this Colonial Revival influenced residence aimed to blend historic period details with modern amenities. Challenges for this project were that the existing front entry porch and side sunroom were structurally unsound with considerable settling, water damage and damage to the shingle roof structure. This necessitated the total demolition and rebuilding of these spaces, but with modern materials that resemble the existing characteristics of this residence. A new flat roof structure with ornamental railing systems were utilized in place of the original roof design.

To facilitate the builder's desire to create a successful model home in this large site development with expansive natural preserves, this design creates a sense of presence far greater than its actual size. This was accomplished by a wide yet shallow layout that allows most rooms to look out to rear of home and preserve views beyond. Designed with a West Indies flavor, this thoroughly modern home's layout flows seamlessly from space to space. Each room is bright with lots of natural light, creating a home that takes fullest potential of this unique site.

This new 4-story, ground-up building is a 3-unit multi-family condominium building located on Chestnut Street in the Marina district of San Francisco. The four-story building relates in scale to the existing context of the neighborhood but is set in contrast with the prevailing Marina style buildings common in the area. Designed with contemporary detailing in mind, the front facade consists of cement board panel rain screen cladding and floor-to-ceiling operable glass windows and doors to allow for ample light and ventilation to the residential units above. Contractor: Lindgren Landscape
Producer: Belgard
Designer: Tim Lindgren
The objective was to create a landscape that would enhance the features of the home, while creating privacy and eliminating the multitude of neighborhood noises.
A contemporary concrete slab water feature was designed to help reduce the neighborhood noise, and provide an amazing visual from their kitchen windows and doors. Concrete pavers lead the way to a large patio and elevated lounge covered by a custom built shade structure.

Situated in a neighborhood beginning to turn around, the design seeks "To Blend the Old With The New". The building design faced many challenges as it went thru the local Citizens Association, the Planning Commission and the City Counsel. Knowing the neighborhood needed flexibility in regards to end users, the lofts concept was developed as a live/work solution. Green Design elements were incorporated; most notable was a 20 well geothermal heat and cool system located under the parking lot.
