Known for their upgraded brightness and enhanced color rendering, these lights require a precise, calculated layout—especially since the manufacturer guidelines restrict cutting into the main line, presenting a unique installation challenge. Key Features of This Installation: Next-Gen Exterior Illumination: Outfitted with the newly released Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2, delivering brilliant architectural down-lighting, incredible holiday presets, and daily accent lighting. Creative Technical Problem Solving: Because these specialized strands could not be cut without voiding the integrity of the system, we meticulously engineered the run layout. To achieve a perfectly flush finish at the roofline edge, we successfully executed a custom shortening and capping technique on the final strands. Flawless Eave Integration: The lights were mounted at the optimal distance from the fascia to ensure a perfectly uniform, triangular cone wash down the home's exterior walls, eliminating hot spots and dark gaps. The main focus of this contemporary monochromatic bathroom is the spacious frameless shower with an extended shower bench. It is complemented by other minimalist features such as the modern and angular tub and the beautiful textured and heated tile flooring. The elegant white wavy tiles and the metal-glass glazed hexagon deco strip add to the sophisticated look of the bathroom. Finally, the stylish LED lights, modern floating cabinets, and premium quality brushed nickel faucets and drawer pulls tie the whole spa look together.

This project was a complete design build. The designer created a project based on the homeowners vision. We were selected to transform the vision into reality. The final product was completed on time and on budget resulting in a happy client.

This traditional bathroom mixes different shades of gray exceptionally! As the use of gray palettes become more popular, our designers are finding ways to incorporate them into their designs; as evidenced by this beautiful bathroom. The black distressed cabinetry adds a striking and impressive feature to this New Outlooks bathroom!

It started with a common complaint and in phases became a signature solution reflecting Digital Home Technologies motto: “We manage your most valuable asset – your free time.” You know the feeling. You reach for your audio/video remote control and immediately experience button aggravation or, worse, malfunctioning. This is what frustrated a Northwest suburban homeowner and his family. The remote was their enemy. It had turned music or video fun into a struggle. The solution: Installation of ELAN g!, the innovative, award-winning multiroom audio/video and home control system. ELAN seamlessly combines music, TV and telephone-based features such as intercom and paging to create a new kind of whole-house entertainment and communications experience. The system and its simple interface allow people to move room-to-room, controlling and accessing centrally located audio and video equipment with ease. And that is done with the touch of a finger on a smart phone, tablet or dedicated remote. No more hassle, but, wait, the story doesn’t end. The beauty of ELAN g! is that you can start with one solution and expand into others without draining your pocketbook. So impressed was the homeowner that a week after the initial installation, which included a system adding Internet music streaming and iTunes organization, he inquired about some of the other features of ELAN like controlling lighting and interior climate. The family travels a lot, and he wanted to be able to adjust the house from anywhere in the world. Simple. Phase 2 done. Phase 3: Because of the travelling, he had concerns about security of the home. Simple again – Digital Home added a camera and a digital recorder, ensuring peace of mind. Landscape Architect Design Workshop, Aspen, CO Landscape Contractor/ Installer Landscape Workshop, Carbondale, CO Stone Installer JD Masonry, Arvada, CO Stone Suppliers Coldspring, Cold Spring, MN Gallegos Corporation, Vail, CO Through a collective dialogue between landscape, architecture and interior design, a new vision reimagines the disturbed site into a livable landscape, emblematic of our American West. The residence – an ensemble of structures designed in a modern ranch vernacular – is effortlessly unified through layered, interconnected outdoor gathering spaces and regional materials that elaborates upon the experience of moving between structures, heightening and renewing one’s sense of place. Upon entering the courtyard, one is immediately aware of seamless and unfolding relationships between architecture and landscape through a sophisticated, regional palette of natural stone, water, and plants. Set upon architectural focal points, two perpendicular sandstone paths descend into the space and converge upon a monolithic, hand-carved granite fountain. The design of the fountain is purposefully quiet, both in its detailing and operation. The feature includes a recessed interior, allowing water to become still before it reaches the surface, with lightly cleft sides, allowing the water to delicately bounce as it descends into the geometric lower granite basin. The landscape architect’s selection of various stone material extends the tones of the home’s granite walls and contextual surroundings into the garden, but also be detailed in a manner that balances rural and modern qualities. The majority of the paving is constructed of rectilinear gray sandstone with a natural finish and snapped edges, laid in a staggered running bond organization. Throughout the garden, thoughtful attention was also given to the configuration and layout of terraces, pathways, and steps. In doing so, this ensured that the edges of the terrace and its interface to other elements were designed so that no “leftover” stone paver pieces would be found. Within the central courtyard, split-faced stone stairs descend into a rectilinear plinth of lawn, punctuated by a carved granite fire pit. Leveraging the property’s existing topographic relief, a shallow infinity-edge dipping pool abstracts the transparent and cavity-like pools found throughout the Rocky Mountains. The design purposefully achieves the illusion of a larger water feature with the distant pond and offers a refreshing recreational element. Containing the infinity edge, a designed granite escarpment emerges from the meadow, juxtaposing the geometric water feature and providing informal seating ledges. The site’s prior use required the landscape architect to incorporate a highly technical and complex sub-surface structural system. The initial geotechnical report identified the building envelopes rested on 12 feet of man-placed fill. Assuming a 1 percent settlement, the team faced concerns that the terraces would settle up to 12 inches. In response, a grid of structural micro-piles provides the necessary foundation for the construction of terraces immediately outside of the architecture, under the water features and site walls. The solution enabled the crisp detailing and design resolution of the architectural structures to seamlessly connect with the horizontal stone terraces.

This opening into the kitchen and dinette became a special doorway using some simple moulding ideas with fluted design. The ends of the wall became columns, and the upper wall joined the crown to extend its eloquence.

These clients were in the second stage of renovating their stylish Tudor when we were approached to help formulate a final design plan for entertainment, technology integration and lighting design and control systems. Although the plan was to implement the final completion of these systems in stages, we needed to prepare the appropriate wiring to accomplish the end goals. We provided a lighting design plan for the areas under construction and some simple control solutions from Lutron and Universal Remote Control. Once the Family room was completed we brought in the BDI Novia A/V Cabinet in Coco stained Cherry. This excellent piece of A/V furniture was just large enough to house the entertainment system along with the homes WiFi router. The A/V system was built around a Denon AVR 3809Ci. Source components consisted of Comcast Cable HD DVR, Samsung Blu-Ray DVD player and an Apple TV. The Apple TV was the primarily used for playing the clients music and sharing their family pictures on the 50” Samsung LED TV. The Samsung Blu-Ray DVD player was designed with an internet application for Pandora Radio which is a great way to experience a wide variety of music by creating sets of personable radio stations. Listing to the entertainment system is a real joy with the Totem Tribe in-wall speakers. These sealed cabinet in-wall speakers are some of the best in the world for a very reasonable price. The Velodyne MiniVee 10 was used as the subwoofer. Panamax surge protection was incorporated for everything including the TV. The Universal Remote Control MX-980 was programmed to operate the primary entertainment system along with multiple audio zones for Kitchen, Dining, Patio, Master Bed & Bathroom through the Aton DLA6 zoned speaker selector and volume controller. Additional MX900 was used to support the master suite control within that area. A Lutron Graphic eye was used in the Dining room to manage all of the lighting scenes while the Family room was controlled via the MX-980 remote and RF replacement wall dimmers. This was a great balance of budget and appropriate user interface options. Client

This kitchen features Fieldstone Custom Cabinetry in the Stratford door style with a clean white finish. There are stacked cabinets that reach the tray ceiling with clear glass fronts ion the upper level. The backsplash features the 3x6 ceramic subway tile in Grigio from Cancos' Whisper line. Kohler fixtures were used, including the Whitehaven apron front sink and the Artifacts kitchen & prep faucets. A filtered hot-cold water dispenser from Insinkerator was also chosed to complement the faucets. Hardware, including cup pulls, is from Top Knobs' Somerset Weston line in Antique Pewter. The Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Basko appliances were paneled and installed with the flush-inset approach, to keep a streamlined look with the cabinets. A rectangular island includes a prep sink and double-ogee edge treatment on Silestone's Cygnus color. The decorative wood hood from Stanici delivers a focal point with beautiful curved lines, found also above & below the refrigerator and the shape of the cup pulls.
