We incorporated a carved marble tile on the accent wall as a nod to the fluted wood in the living room cabinets. From there, we carried in the same wood tone at the vanity cabinets and stone from the TV wall into the countertop.

What defines Japandi? Simply put, Japandi is a hybrid trend. This new look takes the modern flair of Scandinavian design and combines it with the timeless elegance of a Japanese aesthetic to create a style that brings together the best of both worlds.It's not hard to see why these two styles have been paired.

This project transformed a single-family home in Los Feliz, showcasing a seamless blend of Japandi and mid-century modern styles in the main bathroom remodel and a bold, eclectic design in the newly added half bath. The main bathroom features a large walk-in shower with a built-in bench, a quartz-lined niche, and a round window that bathes the space in natural light. The design highlights include Terrazzo tile flooring, a Japandi-inspired accent wall that extends behind the vanity mirror, and natural wood cabinetry with a sleek quartz countertop. The half-custom Scavolini kitchen features sleek lines, hidden smart storage, and Italian craftsmanship you can feel in every detail. These first-time parents wanted to create a sanctuary in their home, a place to retreat and enjoy some self-care after a long day. They were inspired by the simplicity and natural elements found in wabi-sabi design so we took those basic elements and created a spa-like getaway.

In order to make the primary bedroom feel light and airy, we kept the palette simple and bright. We opted to suspend pendants above the nightstands to draw the eyes up and make the ceilings feel taller, and took that even further with tall mirrors carrying from the nightstand to the ceiling.

We carried in the same stone for the vanity in the guest bathroom as well as a fluted wood-look porcelain tiles to add warmth to the walls. In here, we opted for a floating vanity to add a delicate touch.
