This dysfunctional kitchen was in need of an update to increase both function and style. By moving some key elements, we were able to add a lot of additional counter space. We also solved a lack of natural light by adding three large skylights. The natural stone quartzite countertops are the star of this kitchen and we ran them up the backsplash for a clean look that really makes a statement.

The objective was to create a warm neutral space to later customize to a specific colour palate/preference of the end user for this new construction home being built to sell. A high-end contemporary feel was requested to attract buyers in the area. An impressive kitchen that exuded high class and made an impact on guests as they entered the home, without being overbearing. Due to the spec nature of this house, the home had to remain appealing to the builder, while keeping a broad audience of potential buyers in mind. The challenge lay in creating a unique look, with visually interesting materials and finishes, while not being so unique that potential owners couldn’t envision making it their own. The focus on key elements elevates the look, while other features blend and offer support to these striking components. As the home was built for sale, profitability was important; materials were sourced at best value, while retaining high-end appeal. The main question was determining the appropriate height for the cabinetry, considering the scale and proportion of the space, the walk-through to adjoining rooms, window heights, and the height of the refrigerator. Solution: By carefully analyzing these factors, we were able to create cabinetry that perfectly scaled to the grand dimensions of the room. The floor plan featured two islands that effectively filled the space. Key elements included #TheGalley workstations, drop-down televisions, #MouserCabinetry, and secret doors leading to a hidden scullery, all contributing to an extraordinary project.

For this kitchen reno it was integral that the design created a seamless transition to the previously renovated living space.We maximized utility by incorporating an awkward area near existing bay window into the kitchen. The butcher block island is the key element pulling the two ends of the galley kitchen together.We designed it to be a custom movable island which added counter space and versatility as well as really grounding the new pantry area. We kept the colour theme consistent with the rest of the house by using nautical blues for the cabinets. The colour complements the original oak hardwood floors which we matched in the kitchen to give continuity to the open floor plan. Now the kitchen feels like it belongs with the home and has been there the whole time.

The client was in the midst of a substantial renovation of a period property and sought a kitchen that would complement the home's historic character. The challenge was to design a kitchen that not only preserved the traditional aesthetic but also incorporated modern conveniences. Key elements included a large island for both cooking and casual dining, as well as a curved booth seating bench and bespoke oval Nolte table for the eating area. Additional functional aspects, such as a breakfast unit for small appliances like a toaster and a sideboard for added storage, were to be integrated seamlessly, extending the kitchen's theme into the adjoining living space. For a timeless appeal, we opted for the Nolte Windsor range. The choice of the oval knob handles on the 721 White furniture shade delivered a contemporary classic feel that effortlessly blended with the newly constructed living area. A 30mm Silestone Blanco Rivers worktop was paired with Nolte’s 40mm Holm Oak, offering both durability and a chic aesthetic.
