A mudroom was designed with custom cabinets, including lockers and an island, to create a storage system for the family, and as importantly a place to hang out, do homework, and art projects. Lockers were built for each member of the family, complete with shoe storage, charging stations for computers, and basket storage above. A central island has 4 stools to sit for homework, art or snacktime, and houses drawers for each of the kids to drop their keys, with a USB charger for phones and iPads. There is also an extra fridge for kids’ lunches and snacks.

Wood drawers help keep everyday items in order. Clutter stays concealed behind closed doors so your entryway can always look clean and organized.

This kitchen is featuring Great Northern Cabinetry's Concord door style. The perimeter of the kitchen is Maple with a Praline stain, while the island is Pt. Grade Maple with a Vanilla paint and Chocolate glaze. Adorning the cabinets are Amerock's Revitalize knobs and pulls in an Oil Rubbed Bronze finish. For countertops, the perimeter of the kitchen features Formica laminate in Bronze Rust. The island is featuring Cambria quartz in Canterbury. The backsplash is done in Mohawk Delanova tile and decorative tiles, in Caramella Latte. Mannington Engineered hardwood looks gorgeous in this room. Mannington's American Rustic Maple 5" wide planks in Sandstone went well with the rest of the room. The vents found in the toe kick of the island were unfinished maple - painted to match the custom cabinetry.

Kitchen - farmhouse kitchen idea in New York

This home, built in 1902, has beautiful craftsmanship but the original kitchen was small, inefficient and disconnected from the rest of the home. Removing a wall between the kitchen and dining room, and eliminating the basement access from the kitchen space helped meet one of the key requirements for the clients, which was to be able to entertain friends and family. The new beam was concealed with an arch that mimics an existing arch in this home. Unique items such as the light fixture were repurposed in the new design as well.

A small bathroom is given a clean, bright, and contemporary look. Storage was key to this design, so we made sure to give our clients plenty of hidden space throughout the room. We installed a full-height linen closet which, thanks to the pull-out shelves, stays conveniently tucked away as well as vanity with U-shaped drawers, perfect for storing smaller items. The shower also provides our clients with storage opportunity, with two large shower niches - one with four built-in glass shelves. For a bit of sparkle and contrast to the all-white interior, we added a copper glass tile accent to the second niche. Designed by Chi Renovation & Design who serve Chicago and it's surrounding suburbs, with an emphasis on the North Side and North Shore.
