What a view of the mountains from the freestanding tub! Motorized shades are mounted at the top of the windows to ensure privacy at bath time. Gray leathered limestone floors are the base for this modern master bath, complete with a floating vanity in dark stained oak. Matching floating shelves offer storage and display next to a custom built in linen cabinet. The LED lighting at the vanity is bright, but dimmable. Brizo faucets and cabinet hardware are chrome, to add a splash of shine to the otherwise honed or leathered finishes.

Designed by Daniel Altmann of Reico Kitchen & Bath, this Arlington, VA transitional inspired design of the kitchen and butler's pantry features Greenfield Cabinetry in the Jackson inset style door in 2 finishes. The perimeter cabinet features a Glacier finish while the kitchen island and butler's pantry in a Nebula finish. Now tv’s are everywhere. In this formal living room, our clients wanted the tv to be out of sight until the Super Bowl! Our photographer and one of our staff (me ) waded through the swamp of a cypress stand to capture a stunning image. The image was printed on fine vinyl textured to look like canvas and then mounted on bi-folding panels that have 180 degree hinges on each end. When the panels are fully opened to expose the tv, two lovely sections of the photo remain in view. Below the tv is a components cabinet with multiple finishes: wenge, white lacquer, leather handles, black granite. To make a striking distinction between the counter and the base cabinets, we ordered belting leather from a belt manufacturer and applied it with adhesive and nail heads. The coffee table is a tree root that was finished in a silver leaf-type paint to provide, at once, a natural and surreal look.

This kitchen was inspired by a french countryside cottage. We used traditional design elements, warm worn finishes, along with french industrial lighting fixtures to bring a magical element to this space.
