A beautiful contemporary style kitchen custom built in maple, complete with a double tap kegerator. Hitchcock Construction listened to the client's wishes, and worked within their budget to create this fabulous space. This job included completely replacing the existing floor system in order to level the 100 year old home, opening the kitchen to the next room by removing a 17' load bearing wall, as well as calling attention to the backyard's beautiful stone walls and gardens by the addition of a complete wall of windows. Hitchcock Construction acted as both the Designer and General Contractor in order to ensure the level of attention to detail, that is required on a fabulous kitchen such as this.

The waterfall - streams are so realistic that it is amazing to just stand next to them and listen to the different sounds the water makes. Some make deep gurgling sounds, some make loud splashes and some make quiet trickling sounds!

A true challenge...This property had fallen out of escrow several times before it became our residence. Apparently, know one knew what to do with this 1954 California ranch. After several months, my former partner and I decided to blend my favorite "craftsman" and his "clean modern" elements together. Always listen to the home, consider it a type of architectural dance and the home will lead you. Strong use of horizontal warm native redwoods contrasting smooth exterior stucco. Water elements that greet you at the entrance and reappear in the geometrically inspired rear garden. This was personally, one of my favorite projects.

Sitting room adjacent to "Her" closet. A quiet space to read or write or listen to music. With artistic handpainted ceiling of flowering vines, fun and colorful carpet, with appointments of traditional antiquities.

The homeowner is a retired professional and a passionate home chef who desired to have the finest in luxury appliances. They interviewed several large design build firms that just didnt listen to them. After approaching our company they discovered we were a perfect fit as we listened to their specific remodeling needs and were not concerned about making the sale. This couple entertains large crowds of people and their kitchen was tiny and outdated for their needs. We opened up the wall between the kitchen and dining room, removed an awkward drop ceiling, added square footage to the kitchen and dining room spaces. Finally adding exterior sliding door with a La Cantina Bi-Fold door. We moved and installed a new sink window at the wall between the kitchen and dining room. The new configuration allowed for more working area as well as much needed additional kitchen storage. An integrated flush Subzero Refrigerator and Freezer are the perfect for this home owners entertaining needs. The island features a Miele Range with and island sink, the second sink is a necessity for this Chef. The details are not overlooked in the cabinetry with the beveled door by Ovation Cabinetry available exclusively at Signature Designs Kitchen Bath in San Diego.

Our design team listened carefully to our clients' wish list. They had a vision of a cozy rustic mountain cabin type master suite retreat. The rustic beams and hardwood floors complement the neutral tones of the walls and trim. Walking into the new primary bathroom gives the same calmness with the colors and materials used in the design.
