This modest one-story design features a modern farmhouse facade with stone, decorative gable trusses, and metal roof accents. Enjoy family togetherness with an open great room, island kitchen, and breakfast nook while multiple sets of double doors lead to the rear porch. Host dinner parties in the elegant dining room topped with a coffered ceiling. The master suite is striking with a trio of skylights in the cathedral ceiling, a thoughtfully designed bathroom, and a spacious walk-in closet. Two additional bedrooms are across the floor plan and an optional bonus room is upstairs for expansion.

This 4-acre site hosts three new structures, which include a large workshop, main residence and an independent art studio. Situated within a beautiful wooded environment, the edge of the site abuts a peaceful pond, which brought inspiration to the material and stylistic choices of the structures. The two-story barn is home to a complete workshop, equipped with the necessary machinery and a hearty wood storage space on the upper level. The timber frame structure was clad with stained shingles on the exterior and left with a light natural stain on the interior wood, bringing a light, warm atmosphere to the entire space.
The main residence and art studio have corresponding exterior shingles and material treatments that unite the structures along the waterfront and create a strong dialogue with the slightly darker workshop. The master bedroom suite is located on the main level, with guest accommodations on the upper level. Slightly separate from the main residence, but connected by an outdoor gathering space, the art studio shares the same peaceful view of the pond.

A perfectly proportioned story and a half cottage, the Farfield is full of traditional details and charm. The front is composed of matching board and batten gables flanking a covered porch featuring square columns with pegged capitols. A tour of the rear façade reveals an asymmetrical elevation with a tall living room gable anchoring the right and a low retractable-screened porch to the left.
Inside, the front foyer opens up to a wide staircase clad in horizontal boards for a more modern feel. To the left, and through a short hall, is a study with private access to the main levels public bathroom. Further back a corridor, framed on one side by the living rooms stone fireplace, connects the master suite to the rest of the house. Entrance to the living room can be gained through a pair of openings flanking the stone fireplace, or via the open concept kitchen/dining room. Neutral grey cabinets featuring a modern take on a recessed panel look, line the perimeter of the kitchen, framing the elongated kitchen island. Twelve leather wrapped chairs provide enough seating for a large family, or gathering of friends. Anchoring the rear of the main level is the screened in porch framed by square columns that match the style of those found at the front porch. Upstairs, there are a total of four separate sleeping chambers. The two bedrooms above the master suite share a bathroom, while the third bedroom to the rear features its own en suite. The fourth is a large bunkroom above the homes two-stall garage large enough to host an abundance of guests.
Find the right local pro for your project

Patricia had the typical builder-grade bathroom and was seeking a refreshing and innovative solution for her outdated master bathroom. She wanted a fun shower to wake her up in the morning.
The project focused on a complete transformation, bringing her bathroom up to date with contemporary trends and meeting storage needs, while creating a serene and inviting space she can take pride in and enjoys for years to come.
The previous design was conventional, hosting both a shower and a bathtub. However, her requirements had evolved, eliminating the need for the bathtub. So, Patricia selected a broader, custom-designed shower that was tailored exactly to her needs!
The Turchese Gleeze tile presents a refined look on the shower wall with a cultivated pop of color. The addition of a shower bench and an enlarged wall niche fulfills Patricia's wish for functionality and space optimization.
A paint refresh was applied to the existing cabinets, further enhanced by the introduction of sparkling Glisten Quartz surfaces. The backsplash was arranged, utilizing the distinguished Turchese Gleeze tile, creating a cohesive look matching the shower.
The subtleties inevitably bring about remarkable transformations. The Delta Stryke wall-mounted faucets present a striking aesthetic, while the addition of two Quaid Wall Mirrors imparts a layer of custom sophistication to the space.

This beautiful home is truly a labour of love. The homeowners, previous clients, custom built their own home. They wanted a traditional and elegant look and a home suited to host large family gatherings. The homeowners relied on us to select the appropriate furnishings and finishes for each room. We helped them select the right style, size, colour and shape of all furniture and drapery to suit the architecture of the home.

VPC partnered with the owners of Rustic Mountain Residence to help them build this mountain home of their dreams. The stunning structure was carefully crafted for full-time residency in a community tucked away in North Carolina’s High Country.
Rustic Mountain Residence is a 1,999 square foot home complete with three bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a two-car garage. The home’s exterior was designed with an architectural shingle roof displaying metal accents, natural stone veneer, cypress, and nickel gap siding. The meticulous attention to detail and design is evident in the exterior, including gorgeous bark accents and stark black painted windows and soffit.
Inside the residence, tongue and groove ceilings, pine hardwood flooring, canned lighting, and shadowbox trim were used on all doors and windows. Noteworthy features on the main level include a sliding barn door in the powder room and reclaimed barnwood accent walls in the dining space.
The great room offers a grand and warm living space with windows peering into the expansive mountain vistas, a natural stone gas fireplace, and an open concept with a view into the kitchen. The kitchen represents the quintessence of Rustic Mountain Residence by showcasing an exquisite, hammered copper sink, large subway tile backsplash, and custom cabinets.
The master bedroom and master bathroom are truly a charming retreat for the homeowners with high ceilings in the bedroom and an adjoining full master bath. The two guest rooms and shared bathroom upstairs are ideal for hosting family and friends with a hybrid office in the second guest room.
From start to finish, we assisted the homeowners to build the mountain retreat they envisioned. At VPC, we promise to be with our clients every step of the way and enjoyed completing Rustic Mountain Residence.

This 15,000 square foot home is a ground up classic Mediterranean Villa in Los Altos Hills, designed with a nod to a more elevated contemporary interior design. Our client is a High Level VC who hoped to limit time away from his young family. The scope of the project was to design a family-friendly home, while including all of the high style and high-tech amenities and conveniences expected in a Silicon Valley estate. Designing with these requirements in mind, our team created functional spaces for family life while maintaining business requirements in one space. This balance between comfort and professionalism was implemented through masterful layout and design including a private gathering room that can host up to 100 guests, which was intentionally designed to entertain business meetings, lessening the need for travel, and allowing for a more balanced lifestyle. Other features include a Screening Room, Bar and Wine Tasting Area, Private Library and Executive office, and Grand Dining Room.

When our client bought their lot in Broken Top they did not build for years. Living in San Diego, they decided in 2011 to build a vacation home/ future retirement abode. Their vision included a welcoming single level with relaxing Master bedroom and bath, a kitchen/living/dining space to entertain family and friends, and an outdoor living space to enjoy the sunsets.Their vision became reality!! It also includes a wonderful second bedroom perfect for guests, with a separate entrance and a private bath with walk-in shower. The third bedroom doubles as an office with lots of windows.
The home is rustic from the front. Upon entering one notices the open floor plan and contemporary kitchen design as well as the beautiful rock fireplace and abundance of light. An extra-large island in the kitchen includes a wine cooler, bar sink, and eating area. The décor of the home is comfortable and warm. And the stunning dark Acacia wood flooring runs throughout the main living area.
This home is 3210 square feet on a single level. Natural mature landscaping surrounds the home giving it a settled-in feeling. This is a perfect home for retirees who host guests, or a small family. In this case, the couple will use it as their vacation get-away with retirement in their scope.

The expansive mountain and city vistas are transfixing in this masterful backyard retreat. With expansive timber framing, this outdoor kitchen and patio renovation were meant to be an extension of this home. The homeowners wanted a space where they could "spill out" onto during numerous functions that the family hosts for both relatives and friends. So that's what VisionScapes set out to give them. An expansive network of granite counters under the covered timber structure provide ample prep space and space for dining in a casual bar like atmosphere. The patio with a built in gas fire table, a sheltered sitting area under the open timber pergola, custom flagstone patios and stairs are some of the other features in this stunning backyard.
