Location: Nantucket, MA, USA This classic Nantucket home had not been renovated in several decades and was in serious need of an update. The vision for this summer home was to be a beautiful, light and peaceful family retreat with the ability to entertain guests and extended family. The focal point of the kitchen is the La Canche Chagny Range in Faience with custom hood to match. We love how the tile backsplash on the Prep Sink wall pulls it all together and picks up on the spectacular colors in the White Princess Quartzite countertops. In a nod to traditional Nantucket Craftsmanship, we used Shiplap Panelling on many of the walls including in the Kitchen and Powder Room. A hip young family moving from Boston tackled an enormous makeover of an antique colonial revival home in downtown Larchmont. The kitchen area was quite spacious but benefitted from a small bump out for a banquette and additional windows. Navy blue island and tall cabinetry matched to Benjamin Moore’s Van Deusen blue is balanced by crisp white (Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace) cabinetry on the perimeter. The mid-century inspired suspended fireplace adds warmth and style to the kitchen. A tile covered range hood blends the ventilation into the walls. Brushed brass hardware by Lewis Dolan in a contemporary T-bar shape offer clean lines in a warm metallic tone. This French Villa wet bar is a standout feature in the home, showcasing a bold black base topped with sleek steel colored countertops. Silver velvet bar stools with intricate legs adds a glamorous, textural touch, while the glass shelving behind the bar creates a striking display for curated bottles and barware. Framed by arched openings and elegant trim, the space is elevated further by unique wall art in metallic tones, adding depth and a modern sculptural element to the overall design.

The upstairs bar/lounge is the perfect spot to hang out and watch the game. Or take a look out on the Serrano golf course. A custom steel raised bar is finished with Dekton trillium countertops for durability and industrial flair. The same lipstick red from the bathroom is brought into the bar space adding a dynamic spice to the space, and tying the two spaces together.

Located on the pristine Glenn Lake in Eureka, Montana, Robertson Lake House was designed for a family as a summer getaway. The design for this retreat took full advantage of an idyllic lake setting. With stunning views of the lake and all the wildlife that inhabits the area it was a perfect platform to use large glazing and create fun outdoor spaces.

The bar is composed of stainless base cabinets and custom scaled iron shelving for liquor and glassware. The iron piece above the bar boasts form and function, providing glass storage and lighting. The riveted stainless steel bar front and stainless steel foot rail accent the space with a nod to aviation (the owner is a pilot) in this Aspen mountain home.

The light filled space has large windows and four doors, but works well in the strategically configured floor plan. Generous wall trim, exquisite light fixtures and modern stools create a warm ambiance. In the words of the homeowner, “it is beyond our dreams”.
