Custrom curving stairway designed to correct a builder's mistake. Stairwell eave walls were built too low. The solution was to lower the landing. Therefore, the upper (longer) section allowed for more headroom as it landed under the peak.

Here the newly added windows let in lots of light. The corner now looks intentional instead of a mistake. The awkward shelf is now removed, keeping the eye moving up the corner of the wall without interruption. Plants, furniture, art and accessories finish the space.

This picture was taken after the new cabinets were installed. I didn't snag pictures until after the homeowners were putting all of their things away. My mistake!
