For this space, client had an existing chandelier that needed modifications to provide better lighting for the space. In our on-site shop, our shop technician was able to lengthen the overall height and change the lights from downward facing to upward facing. This allowed the client to use brighter bulbs and gain some reflective light off the ceiling.

The awkward soffits above the windows where removed. Removing the soffits increased the amount of light coming in and made the ceilings look taller. New windows were modified in size to accommodate storage underneath and to emphasize the beautiful view outside of the mountains and green space. This modification also doubled their previous countertop space.

However, this required some modifications in order to get the space we needed to build the walk in shower.

Renovation of the screened porch into a three-season room required Sweeney to perform structural modifications, including determining wind shear calculations and working with a structural engineer to provide the necessary calculations and drawings to modify the walls, roof, and floor joists. Finally, we removed the screens on all three exterior walls and replaced them with new floor-to-ceiling Scenix tempered glass porch windows with retractable screens.
