Underside view of this expansive rectangular designed palapa. Mexican runner rolls were the choice for this contractor for ease of use and economical price point. Sanded pine pealed lodge poles in a range of diameters give structure and a visually pleasing design. Lauhala panels were glued to sheets of plywood for this ceiling treatment.

The living room and dining room are linked in sentiment and design. A consistent millwork stain color was developed to set the tone in all the rooms, and to create continuity throughout the house. Featuring beautiful, handcarved, wood columns, this living / dining room contains a glimpse "days gone by." We love the natural light and the banded, antique lighting fixtures. Barton Creek Residence - Custom Design - Jim Nix - AIA - Austin Architect - Nix Group Architects – Residential and Commercial Architecture Firm - Austin Texas – 78701. Japanese Guest Room. The Ryokan styled Japanese guest suite, based on a traditional Japanese inn, provides for hosting guests overnight. The floor consists of tatami mats upon which futon bed rolls are spread out at night. Adjacent to it is a bathroom suite with Ofuro tub, an ante area, an enclosed seating porch, and a private outdoor deck with Japanese garden. The remarkable craftsmanship of the custom fabricated woodwork is highlighted throughout.

Accoya was selected as the ideal material for this breathtaking home in West Vancouver. Accoya was used for the railing, siding, fencing and soffits throughout the property. In addition, an Accoya handrail was specifically custom designed by Upper Canada Forest Products. Design Duo Matt McLeod and Lisa Bovell of McLeod Bovell Modern houses switched between fluidity, plasticity, malleability and even volumetric design to try capture their process of space-making. Unlike anything surrounding it, this home’s irregular shape and atypical residential building materials are more akin to modern-day South American projects that stem from their surroundings to showcase concrete’s versatility.
