Opening up the kitchen to make a great room transformed this living room! Incorporating light wood floor, light wood cabinets, exposed beams gave us a stunning wood on wood design. Using the existing traditional furniture and adding clean lines turned this living space into a transitional open living space. Adding a large Serena & Lily chandelier and honeycomb island lighting gave this space the perfect impact. The large central island grounds the space and adds plenty of working counter space. This was a renovation project that expanded the kitchen by using the space that was an adjacent laundry room. Contemporary kitchen with large 'waterfall island' as the centerpiece to dine, storage beneath and refrigerator/freezer drawers along with microwave drawer. Quartz was used for the island,counter and stove backsplash as a slab.in calacutta pattern, perimeter is also a quartz in a coordinated darker color. stainless steel hood with textured grayish white cabinetry. breakfast area is used mostly as a sitting area to watch TV and be a part of the kitchen but the cocktail table converts to dining height as well as expands for additional dining table space and seating is then becomes a dining banquette.area. This kitchen was designed for a client who has a passion for cooking and baking, and spends a lot of time there. The original kitchen had a wall at the end of the left cabinets, separating it from an unused music room. After demoing the wall, the kitchen was expanded into this space and the dining room was moved into the new open plan kitchen. Two small spaced windows were turned into a new double window above a wide farmhouse sink, flooding the kitchen with light. Simple, modern pendants over islands, plus recessed and under cabinet lighting provide ample lighting. To achieve a clean, timeless look we paired white shaker style cabinets with a pop of the “new neutral”, blue, on two islands. The island closest to the stove and sink is the main workstation, with plenty of storage on one side and an overhang with seating (for hanging out while cooking or just eating) on the other. Thoughtfully designed features include a vertical cabinet to store sheet pans, and a mixer installed inside the cabinet that swings up when the door is opened - no lifting or bending required. The second island is also multi-use - serving as a versatile work space as well. Additional unique features include lit upper cabinets, and (one of our favorites) to the right of the range wall, under drawers, is a built-in step stool that can be pulled out to assist with reaching higher shelves. This kitchen went through a remarkable transformation to become highly functional, bright, beautiful and perfect for our client!

This home’s bright white traditional kitchen bounces light off every surface, from the Amazon Pearl Quartzite countertops and white subway tile backsplash to the gleaming white cabinets with their polished nickel hardware. Polished nickel is repeated in the faucet that is paired with a large white farm sink. A small area rug in shades of blue covers the walnut stained hardwood floor, while a stainless-steel range stands ready to take on any cooking task. A trio of frosted globe pendants hang from gold chains above the center island. The honeycomb design of the pendants is echoed in the blue trellis pattern of the roman shades that have been accented with a navy band. Coffee bean stained barstools boast turquoise seats in a durable easy-to-clean vinyl, and the striped fabric covering the built-in banquette has been laminated for easy cleaning as well. Remodel-Kitchen & Family Room: Quiet Luxury with a Natural Palette This remodel reimagines the heart of the home by seamlessly integrating the kitchen and family room into a refined yet inviting open-concept space, grounded in a “quiet luxury” aesthetic and a natural palette. Kitchen Transformation: The kitchen layout is completely reworked for improved flow and functionality. Major appliances have been reassigned for efficiency: • The refrigerator is built in and anchors the focal wall providing improved access to both prep and serving areas. • The range has been centered on the back wall, framed by two- toned cabinetry and a low-profile custom hood accented with brass that blends seamlessly into the wall for an understated look. • The dishwasher and sink have been relocated to the new central island, allowing for uninterrupted views across the room and better interaction with guests or family. Family Room Integration: The kitchen flows effortlessly into the family room, unified by wide-plank oak flooring and soft lighting. A fluted marble-clad fireplace anchors the space, surrounded by, built-in shelving with the same oak finish inside as the kitchen cabinetry. Furnishings follow the same philosophy: clean lines, neutral fabrics, and a mix of soft textures. Think boucle armchairs, a deep linen sectional, and a reclaimed wood coffee table. Lighting & Finishing Touches: Soft, layered lighting—including recessed lights, sculptural clear pendant lights above the island, and concealed LED strips—enhances the serene mood.
