For this project we built multi-level patios and carefully delineated how each space was to be used. One area was set up for relaxing and taking in a section of the yard’s multi-faceted water feature. Another spot off to the side — in front of a thicket of trees — was designed as a private patio. This little girl's, big girl bedroom turned out so beautifully. Her mom says her little girl is sleep so well and loves hanging out in her room on the bed reading books. We combined this three year old's love of ballet with her moms love of French Parisian details. For the hand-scripted mural we started with a freshly painted canvas of Colorhouse Imagine.06 and used Nourish.06 to create interest and pretty texture with a personal phrase mom says to her little girl "I Love You Pretty Girl"

After installation of the new custom valance, the Victorian Living Room feels more balanced, cozier, and more updated. A large custom valance is an updated variation on the old swag valances, with few folds, a center pleat, and cascade sides, over the Hunter Douglas Silhouettes at the window. The smaller scale pattern defers to the floral of the sofa, but is interesting when you can consider it. A contrast blue lining, and the blush pink patterned fabric, are strong enough to work with more assertive aspects of the room. Details, such as the buttons at the top of the pleats, the contrast cording at the top of the valance, and the crystal bead trim, are perfect for a traditional client, who is nourished by the complexity of detail in a space..

Our passion is to create designs that promote good energy and well-being in the home, so we often turn to the Feng Shui practice to set the intention for a space and guide our color choices. In an effort to create a grounding space, we developed a palette rooted in earth tones. Brown is a grounding and nourishing color which is connected to stable earth energy while green is an uplifting color that promotes fresh energy and renewal. The nesting glowing coffee tables are made of natural white agate, which has a calming effect.
