This project was a tribute to the vision and optimism of the owners. This once-glorious home was so far gone that many people would have taken the easy path -tear it down and start over. Instead, the family hired Old Saratoga Restorations to save every original bit of material that could be salvaged and rebuild the home to its previous grandeur. OSR gutted the interior and reinvented it based on the archaeological evidence for this home restoration. They added a new kitchen and bathrooms with high-end fixtures, custom-cabinetry and top-of-the-line appliances. Outside, everything from the siding and trim to the dilapidated cupola on top needed to be replaced with duplicates.

This beautiful, light-filled home radiates timeless elegance with a neutral palette and subtle blue accents. Thoughtful interior layouts optimize flow and visibility, prioritizing guest comfort for entertaining. The elegant entryway showcases an exquisite console table as the centerpiece. Thoughtful decor accents add style and warmth, setting the tone for what lies beyond.

We breathed new life into this Hampton’s inspired kitchen with beautiful fresh materials in soft white and airy blue hues. We also redesigned the layout for optimal food prep, cooking and entertaining while keeping them separate from each other. By incorporating the nook area and removing the desk, we were able to give our client everything she ever wanted in a kitchen (see BEFORE pics). The lines and details of the custom hood and soft curved fretwork in the cabinetry create a sense of understated luxury and elegance. Oil rubbed bronze accents on the island legs, traditional lanterns and sconces, along with brushed nickel cabinet hardware complete the space. We also redesigned the fireplace and added built-ins to both sides for additional storage and unified, fresh new look.

During this project in West Chester, PA, we embarked on a comprehensive home renovation journey, breathing new life into every space. The design of the Chamberlin Murrane house, a renovated 1960’s Deck House, optimizes views of the bay with large expanses of glass and roof terraces stepping down toward the water. A wood slat screening system layered upon the traditional clapboard facade of the house provides a level of privacy for the exterior stairs and terraces while visually integrating the enclosed and open spaces of the home in a contemporary way.

A grand entrance begins with this sweeping curved staircase that commands attention the moment you step inside. Rich oak treads and a flowing handrail trace an elegant arc through the multi-level space, while metal balusters with intricate gothic knuckle details add a touch of refined craftsmanship. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the stairway with natural light, creating dramatic shadows that shift throughout the day and emphasize the sculptural beauty of the curve.
