A lovely couple recently purchased a condo and were excited to update and remodel the kitchen to reflect their personal style. From the start, they were thrilled to begin selecting finishes that truly felt like them. They chose beautiful slate gray stained cabinets, which created a rich and sophisticated foundation for the space. To highlight the new cabinetry, the homeowners selected a stunning full-height quartz backsplash that adds both elegance and seamless continuity. Functionality was just as important as style. They opted for lazy Susans to maximize corner storage, and the addition of a convenient trash pull-out was a welcome upgrade that makes everyday use effortless. The transformation is incredible. They could hardly believe the outcome — and are both absolutely thrilled with their new kitchen and the entire remodeling experience.

When we envisioned the new landscape within the outdoor living space at Solana Beach Coastal Oasis, we imagined we were sitting poolside at a lushly planted Baja Zen style retreat. The owners of this Solana Beach home wanted plenty of space for outdoor dining and lounging by the pool. We enjoy creating innovative outdoor spaces for clients that can check both boxes. The outcome of this serene coastal landscape design has just the right combination of sleek and rustic elements, while being low maintenance. This outdoor renovation also included some eco-friendly upgrades. We renovated an existing sprinkler system so that it uses 60% less water than traditional systems. To keep it easy for the client, we added a custom Ipe wood pool cover box that also serves as a bench. This box contains the solar pool cover that was a challenge to store and an eyesore in the scenery. We introduced succulents and other low water plants in order to reduce the amount of water that is typically required to keep landscapes thriving in Southern California. Emma Gerancher from Reico Kitchen & Bath in Charlottesville, VA, partnered with Luis Dorta of LED Construction to design a transitional kitchen featuring Masterpiece cabinetry. The kitchen includes the Barton door style in a Cottage finish for the perimeter and a custom Sherwin-Williams Mount Etna painted finish for the island. The space also features MSI W Calacatta Safyra countertops, along with a Frigidaire canopy hood and microwave. The client shared, “Gutting our old kitchen to reconfigure the space for better flow, workspace, and storage was a challenge. Emma listened to my needs and offered helpful tips and options, which made the process work. The layout followed the workflow, and my habits and style guided the final details. Reico gave me the options and confidence to trust the process, and the outcome is seamless and beautiful.” Emma explained, “This kitchen is one of my favorites. The homeowners wanted to replace the peninsula with a custom painted island in Sherwin-Williams Mount Etna, which paired well with the Cottage perimeter cabinets, Calacatta Safyra countertops, sea glass backsplash, and honey bronze hardware. The Wethersfield home is a “Contributing Structure” within one of Central Austin’s most historic neighborhoods. Thanks to the design vision and engineering of the Barley|Pfeiffer Architecture team, the fine execution and contributions of Tommy Hudson with Hudson Custom Builder, and the commitment of the Owner, the outcome is a very comfortable, healthy and nicely day lit, 1600 square foot home that is expected to have energy consumption bills 50% less than those before, despite being almost 190 square feet larger. A new kitchen was designed for better function and efficiencies. A screened-in porch makes for great outdoor living within a semi-private setting - and without the bugs! This closer-in view, with the shower door open, shows the dark-gray wall tile contrasted by the warm, caramel tones of the teak-wood floor mat. At roughly 4'L x 3'W, the shower isn't huge, but feels spacious because of the clear glass walls. The wall-mounted, heated towel rack is hard-wired and timer-programmable.

2013 NARI Capital CotY, Merit Award Winner, Creative Solutions under $15,000 Objective: This couple was tired of the old brick look of their family room and its embedded fireplace. They wanted to uplift the entire room, with better lighting, updated built ins and new gas log fireplace. Challenges: It was not an easy task to get rid of all masonry and brick wall. Gas lines and powder line were quite distance away and the family room floor was a concrete slab. Design solutions: It was important for the couple to create an optional separation between the family room and the kitchen for times that she is having her book club gang over and husband wanted to watch his sporting events. Part of the wall between kitchen and family room was taken by a closet. We have removed that entire wall and implemented a 6” wide Barn door for a partial solution to their problem. New wiring for light and cable wires were running into the old masonry wall. Gas line gave the old wood burning fireplace and new life. Custom built in cabinetry was placed in place old masonry wall. A new stone hearth and surround wrapped around the new fireplace. New hardwood wide plank flooring gave this family room warmth. New recess lighting has offered a much brighter room. Outcome: He gets to enjoy his favorite football team beat up the rebels while she gets to have her tea party around the kitchen table. And in all other occasions they get to cuddle by the flames of a new fireplace.

It’s all in the details. Who says that an at home gym should be plain and utterly boring? In this well designed gym room Cheryl wanted to create not only a functional work out area but also a fun and funky feel. A classic colour palette of black and white sets the tone of this space with bold pops of red adding a fun element. Cheryl had an eye catching statement black and white wallpaper of faces printed that adds the wow factor to the gym. A set of black framed complimentary prints feature above the built in joinery unit which houses a bar fridge. An inspirational decal quote adorns the mirrored wall - perfect for that little bit of extra motivation. All windows are dressed in a sheer weave roller blinds and striped roman blinds allowing for complete privacy. The gym is fully equipped with a treadmill, exercise bicycle, weighted dumbbells, exercise balls and more. Gym flooring is ideal for workouts and enhances the functionality of the space. The perfect gym experience in the comfort and convenience of your own home. We are so thrilled with the outcome. A home gym that makes you look forward to exercising.

The outcome of this kitchen refacing project was a stunning transformation from a dated and heavy kitchen to a contemporary, bright, and inviting space. The shaker grey cabinets, gold accents, and quartz countertops created a harmonious and elegant design that perfectly suited the homeowners' taste and lifestyle.

Our clients wanted to increase the size of their kitchen, which was small, in comparison to the overall size of the home. They wanted a more open livable space for the family to be able to hang out downstairs. They wanted to remove the walls downstairs in the front formal living and den making them a new large den/entering room. They also wanted to remove the powder and laundry room from the center of the kitchen, giving them more functional space in the kitchen that was completely opened up to their den. The addition was planned to be one story with a bedroom/game room (flex space), laundry room, bathroom (to serve as the on-suite to the bedroom and pool bath), and storage closet. They also wanted a larger sliding door leading out to the pool. We demoed the entire kitchen, including the laundry room and powder bath that were in the center! The wall between the den and formal living was removed, completely opening up that space to the entry of the house. A small space was separated out from the main den area, creating a flex space for them to become a home office, sitting area, or reading nook. A beautiful fireplace was added, surrounded with slate ledger, flanked with built-in bookcases creating a focal point to the den. Behind this main open living area, is the addition. When the addition is not being utilized as a guest room, it serves as a game room for their two young boys. There is a large closet in there great for toys or additional storage. A full bath was added, which is connected to the bedroom, but also opens to the hallway so that it can be used for the pool bath. The new laundry room is a dream come true! Not only does it have room for cabinets, but it also has space for a much-needed extra refrigerator. There is also a closet inside the laundry room for additional storage. This first-floor addition has greatly enhanced the functionality of this family’s daily lives. Previously, there was essentially only one small space for them to hang out downstairs, making it impossible for more than one conversation to be had. Now, the kids can be playing air hockey, video games, or roughhousing in the game room, while the adults can be enjoying TV in the den or cooking in the kitchen, without interruption! While living through a remodel might not be easy, the outcome definitely outweighs the struggles throughout the process.

Project Description: 3D Backyard Design We created a 3D rendering to fully show our client the outcome of her backyard remodel project. You can see from the 3D renderings we literally brought her vision to life. Complete Backyard Remodel We installed new pavers for the large walkway that runs from the front to the back of the backyard. We built a large concrete wall with stucco all around for privacy. The new courtyard also has new pavers, grass sections, and a sprinkler system. We planted new trees and built a wood-raised vegetable bed. For decorative accents, we added new concrete steps, smart exterior lights, artificial turf installation, river rock installation, and new drain lines to prevent flooding. We also built a custom floating deck that sits in between trees.
