This bathroom went thru a huge transformation. We were limited in what we could do because of the over sized window over the tub but the final product was stunning. We took out the old recessed tub for a free standing tub, added decorative wainscoting to add visual interest. We tired the vanity and went with a beautiful grey, beige and brown tone color scheme in the tiles and walls.

Before: The kitchen originally featured a basic setup that had served its purpose over the years: a basic stainless steel hood over a traditional gas range. While reliable, the appliances reflected a more "serviceable" era of the home. The gas range bore the marks of many family meals, and the hood, while functional, offered little in the way of style or innovation. Refrigeration and cooking technology were limited to the essentials, with no specialty appliances or features to enhance the cooking experience. The kitchen worked, but it lacked the kind of modern efficiency, elegance, and performance that make a space truly inspiring.

Another entertaining highlight is the 6’ x 7’ spillover spa which is conveniently located beside the pergola lounge area and fireplace. When not in use, the spa looks like a sheet of glass with water gently flowing over the Cascade stone ledges.

Phase 2 of our Modern Cottage project was the complete renovation of a small, impractical kitchen and dining nook. The client asked for a fresh, bright kitchen with natural light, a pop of color, and clean modern lines. The resulting kitchen features all of the above and incorporates fun details such as a scallop tile backsplash behind the range and artisan touches such as a custom walnut island and floating shelves and a custom metal range hood. This kitchen is all that the client asked for and more!

This bathroom needed to be totally wheelchair accessible for the client, who has very limited mobility. The sink is at the correct level for her to roll underneath and not hit her knees on the pipes. The custom terrazzo countertop has an integrated zero-entry sink for easy access.

The pool’s negative edge is accomplished with a small tempered glass wall running the full width. When the spa is not in use, water continuously pumps into it from the pool, where it sleekly spills over like a wall of glass on all fours sides. The water then flows from the pool over the spill wall and collects in a trough below before being recirculated.

Twin sets of stairs lead down to the 13 x 24 vinyl pool. Since space is at a premium, the pool has custom vinyl over steel curved “wedding cake” walk-in steps instead of the normal moulded fibreglass steps. This leaves enough additional deck space for two chaise lounges.

This is a 1920's house that has limited space. We removed the drop ceiling and brought the cabinets all of the way up to allow for optimal usage of space. We also added a pot filler over the stove and re-designed the corner cabinet for better usage of space.
