The interiors embrace a soft, muted palette enriched with textures, prints, and pops of colour. Abundant natural light filters through the home, accentuating curated furniture pieces and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. Lighting plays a pivotal role across all zones of the project, carefully layered to enhance both mood and spatial perception. The design language is contemporary modern, with subtle hints of European charm. Defined by clean lines, tactile surfaces, and a neutral base, the white shell becomes a canvas for thoughtful detailing and personality. Each room carries a distinct identity while folding harmoniously into the larger narrative. The master bedroom exudes a warm, muted sophistication, while the mother’s bedroom is imbued with a feminine European touch—anchored in soft blues, blush pinks, and gentle greens. In the living room, a beige sofa grounds the space, complemented by fluted wall panelling and mirrored accents. A carved marble temple sits gracefully beside a mint-green console, set against a softly textured wallpaper backdrop. What elevates the residence beyond a modern European aesthetic is the layered craftsmanship—bespoke wall detailing, custom-designed furniture, and finely executed finishes. Converting a home office into a nursery for a growing family presented some interesting challenges because of the spatial limitations. Originally, the space housed an enclosed side porch in this small 1940's post war cottage style home. During the planning stage, the decision was made that the design elements of the nursery would be consistent with those previously used in the refurbished home…a soft, sophisticated mix of traditional furnishings accented with contemporary styled pieces and elements set within a monochromatic color scheme. Knowing that the expected child was a girl enabled the exploration of a full range of feminine options. To maximize style, unify the space, and preserve the impression of childlike innocence a decision was reached to use minimalist colors. Winter Morning coats the walls with just a hint of pink as seen in the sky at sunrise. Texture is introduced in a blush linen; its hue was chosen to increase spatial perception within this compact nursery. The same linen covers the crib bumper pads and upholsters the small scale glider. Blush is repeated in the chenille braid on the bumper pads, the pleat closures for the tailored striped silk crib skirt and, again, on the trim of the stripped silk drapery panels which are hung to the ceiling adding visual height and providing yards of gentle softness to the area. Antique botanicals from the owner's childhood provide femininity and a connection to the past. Mounted from the ceiling is a small glazed chandelier with clear crystal and rose quartz pendants perfectly suited for the little charmer who will occupy this room. The space may be small in size, but it is large in style, functionality, and filled with love.

This year, transFORM designed, manufactured and installed a custom walk-in closet / dressing room for Real Housewives of New York star, Carole Radziwill. The unit was made with High Gloss Silver, High Gloss Graphite and a combination of custom, textured finishes. These artistically inspired elements work together to create a beautiful appearance, stunning depth of look, and smooth, touchable feel that exceeds expectations. The juxtaposition of soft gray finishes, and eclectic, globally-influenced accessories makes for a charming, sophisticated sanctuary. There are two sections of floor-to-ceiling shoe shelves with Matte Nickel shoe fences, which were purposely installed on a slant to provide easy access. Clean lines, both elegant and refined, allow Carole to locate her beloved pair of Jimmy Choos while emerging from an early morning haze. Innovative details and contemporary technique come together in a seamless and harmonious way. High and low hanging sections afford Carole enough room to organize her items based on size. This type of mechanism offers more depth than a standard hanging system. Open, adjustable shelving also adds a substantial amount of space to display bulky sweaters, smaller collectibles and exclusive handbags. transFORM integrated a lovely combination of energy efficient lighting options throughout the unit. The recessed LED strip lights pulse through the Metal, Swarovski Crystal hardware and create an even higher level of awareness and perception. This effect makes the space look more unique, user-friendly and accommodating. Behind closed doors, we have an elite scarf rack and sliding pant rack, both in a Matte Nickel finish. Additionally, an elegant full-length mirror that pivots and slides was added in Matte Aluminum.

We designed and constructed the master bathroom in this Fulton Award winning custom home, built by Merv Miller Builder LLC. The bathroom won Best Bath in it's category and the home was awarded Best Single Family Home in the Lancaster BIA's Parade of Homes, 2014. We worked with kitchen and bath designer, Pat Caulfied, for this project and were thrilled with the end result. The home craftsman style but the open concept and use of lighter and painted wood finishes instead of traditional dark woods makes the house feel light and spacious. Universal Design makes things safer, easier, and more convenient for everyone. This bath was designed using the principles of universal design, which is the term used for a space can be used by the widest range of people possible. Everyone faces difficulties at any given point in their lives – from a sprained ankle to a serious injury – universal design addresses the needs of people using the space for the longevity of the space. At Re Bath & More, we feel that a universal space can be beautiful as well as functional. One of the key points we incorporated into this bath was to design a space for all the senses. As we age, our vision yellows and depth perception can become an issue. By using a high contrast of light colored flooring, darker cabinets and lighter countertops there is a clear definition of space. The floor is also textured for safety in walking on a wet area and the long vanity can provide support when walking through the space.

GARRISON 1-51 The Garrison is a sculptural iron casting intended for use a stool or side table. It recycles steel salvaged from the 2015 demolition of the namesake Garrison bridge near Toronto’s Fort York. True to STACKLAB’s ethos, however, the Garrison’s shape is not intended to be a formal representation or memorialization of any of the bridge’s attributes. Instead, the Garrison exemplifies STACKLAB’s mission to emphasize that all material matters. Discarded or waste materials are repurposed in a way that imbues them with new life and meaning. Its form was derived using digital real-time parametric design and fabrication technology. STACKLAB optimized the product to be as light and strong as possible: the Garrison’s 35-lb. weight can support a load of 900 lbs. STACKLAB and its partnering firm Rebart procured two tons of bridge rebar, enough to release a limited-edition run of 102 units. STACKLAB designed the Garrison to be sand-cast and engineered the pattern (used to generate sand moulds) so that small manufacturing defects, typical of this process, would only appear at the tip of the piece. Units 1 to 51 have a thermally applied 1/16” solid bronze coating in this location, which ameliorates these defects. This coating turns units that may have been discarded into premium ones, enabling a near-100-percent yield out of the run. The sand-casting process produces faintly perceptible irregularities that enhance the Garrison’s tactility. Garrison 1-51 is available exclusively at Maison Gerard.
