Our client recently purchased a new home that had a large walk-in closet with some simple wire shelving, that did not accommodate their needs. We first assessed what type of functionality, and capability they were looking for along with their budget. That helped us develop the best personalized approach to this project. In this case, their priority was extra room for shoe wear and space for hanging clothes. We made this a reality in addition to a base cabinet with drawers, and a mirror. The crown molding and granite countertop was the cherry on top. Remodeling, renovating doesn’t have to be complicated or budget busting.

Gut renovation of the existing bathroom, new wall, and floor tiles, the bathtub was removed, and a new walk-in shower was added. Also installed a new vanity and overhead lighting along with recessed LED lighting. The drum ceiling lights provide ample light in the area. It is also attached to built-in cabinets and shelves to store personal items.

As I moved into the Living Room I kept in mind that my client wanted it to say "WOW" but "Come Sit in Me"! By introducing a sofa with texture and a unique sexy shape, the room says just that. By adding soft shades of color and a great "take your shoes off and walk on me" area rug, the room developed its warm personality.

This custom home architecture was developed by Alvarez New Concepts Builders in Tampa, Florida. Pasquale Design was hired to provide complete interior design, specification, and procurement services. We consulted on interior space planning and assisted the clients with all interior finish and material selections to include bathroom tile designs, kitchen design, custom cabinetry, ceiling details, plumbing and appliance selections, and flooring designs. Pasquale Design also provided decoration services to include selections and concept for all rooms in the home. The home has many custom details such as custom millwork, custom bedding, window treatments, furniture, and lighting. We worked very closely with our clients honing in on their personal style and love for color and texture. They wanted a home that was elegant and glamorous yet comfortable and low maintenance. All fabrics and material finishes were carefully selected to allow for easy cleaning and durability. We assisted in all art and accessories.

This Commercial interior Design Architectural Rendering is a splendid example of modern luxury with ethnic elements. The most striking thing about it is how exquisitely designer played with shapes, textures and colors. Round chairs, soft tables looking like African drums, complicated wall decor – all that has a mesmerizing effect.

Believe it or not, this award-winning home began as a speculative project. Typically speculative projects involve a rather generic design that would appeal to many in a style that might be loved by the masses. But the project’s developer loved modern architecture and his personal residence was the first project designed by architect C.P. Drewett when Drewett Works launched in 2001. Together, the architect and developer envisioned a fictitious art collector who would one day purchase this stunning piece of desert modern architecture to showcase their magnificent collection. The primary views from the site were southwest. Therefore, protecting the interior spaces from the southwest sun while making the primary views available was the greatest challenge. The views were very calculated and carefully managed. Every room needed to not only capture the vistas of the surrounding desert, but also provide viewing spaces for the potential collection to be housed within its walls. The core of the material palette is utilitarian including exposed masonry and locally quarried cantera stone. An organic nature was added to the project through millwork selections including walnut and red gum veneers. The eventual owners saw immediately that this could indeed become a home for them as well as their magnificent collection, of which pieces are loaned out to museums around the world. Their decision to purchase the home was based on the dimensions of one particular wall in the dining room which was EXACTLY large enough for one particular painting not yet displayed due to its size. The civic connection with the city, the Milwaukee River and the adjacent Kilbourn Park was addressed via the main thoroughfare, street extensions and the River Walk. The relationship to pedestrian scale was achieved by fronting each building to its corresponding street or river edge. Utilizing elevated entries and main living levels provides a non-intimidating distinction between public and private. The open, loft-like qualities of each individual living unit, coupled with the historical context of the tract supports the personal scale of the design. The Beerline “mini-block” – patterned after a typical city block - is configured to allow for each individual building to address its respective street or river edge while creating an internal alley or “auto court”. The river-facing units, each with four levels of living space, incorporate rooftop garden terraces which serve as natural, sunlit pavilions in an urban setting. In an effort to integrate our typical urban neighborhood with the context of an industrial corridor, we relied upon thoughtful connections to materials such as brick, stucco, and fine woods, thus creating a feeling of refined elegance in balance with the “sculpture” of the historic warehouses across the Milwaukee River. Urban Diversity The Beerline River Homes provide a walkable connection to the city, the beautiful Milwaukee River, and the surrounding environs. One homeowner of a particular model home in the Sun City Roseville development that came with a rather large space for a laundry room, was faced with this dilemma recently. After relocating her washer and dryer into the garage and setting up a make shift office of her own in the laundry room, the homeowner realized that, although she succeeded in turning the space into a somewhat functional work area, it just wasn’t up to par for all of her wants and needs. Hoping to come up some new small home office ideas that would squeeze all of her needs into the tiny space, she decided to seek help from a home organization specialist and sat down with The Closet Doctor. There were several requirements and obstacles that made the development of an office design which satisfied the homeowner particularly difficult. One was the need for two workstations which would have enough desk space for each person to sit comfortably and not be on top of each other. Another obstacle was the new design had to work around a cut-out in the corner of the wall, which contained built-in shelves for the components of a nearby entertainment center. Finally, the designer also had to be sure to incorporate “lots of legal sized filing drawers” into its new design. The Closet Doctor went to work and was able to design a solution that, not only met all of the homeowner’s needs, but was attractive, and within her budget. The new built-in design included two work areas that were spacious and each with its own overhead cabinet, storage drawer, and single letter size file drawer for active projects. In between the two overhead cabinets, additional open shelving allowed for display items as well as space for a small TV in the center. Extra storage and organization space was also put behind doors for a clean and neat look. In addition, in order to maintain as much space as possible, the cabinets on the end and left side wall were made just deep enough to fit legal size lateral file drawers. Finally, the built in component shelves were left open in the corner for easy access, with the desk top passing in front of the space at the same height as one of the shelves, which gave the corner a neat and organized appearance as well. To top it off, low energy under cabinet LED lights with a dimmer switch were installed in order to illuminate the work area. The Client loved the result of her home improvement project, in both the look and functionality of the new design compared to the “temporary setup” she had in place before. With the additional storage space and organization that the new built in office unit provided, the satisfied homeowner was able to achieve the clean and organized look as well as optimum functionality that she preferred.
