This whimsy guest bedroom suite encompasses all things sailing! An ode to lake life, custom sail boat drapery adorns the windows while a vintage sail boat lithograph art piece hangs above the iron bed. Red stripe bedding with blue and tab pillows pop on the crisp white bed sheets while a vintage quilt hangs off the bed. The wall sconces allow for more room on the navy blue wicker side tables and the room is anchored by a beautiful, cozy navy and cream striped rug.

Doing laundry can be tedious, mundane and a little stressful but in this space, doing laundry can be more satisfying with the pets around. Wellborn’s cabinetry was used throughout this design, with the Saybrook door style in Maple and complete in the newly launched Gray Mist with a Granite glaze.

For the study, the homeowner's asked for a place to work and relax. Original art and antique decorative andirons from the homeowner's extensive collection relate to the golden brass hardware on the X-legs and the stately character of the campaign desk that they had asked for. The diamond grill pattern of the windows contributes to the undeniable tudor revival style of the home's design. A marble fireplace surround, the light walnut finish of the desk, and personal items including the rug, chair and ottoman add to the inviting mood of this room for study.

PBA was brought in to solve many issues throughout the first floor of this home, the most pressing of which was to create a larger and more functional kitchen. After examining several options, the decision was made to create a narrow addition to the side of the house which allowed the design to meet all of the clients objectives. The floor plan was also opened up to allow for entertaining, and a long corridor was enhanced with trim-work to visually break up the length of the corridor, including the creation of a focal point wall at the end of the corridor. Other renovations included a new mud room, and a guest bathroom and awkwardly proportioned music room were completely reconfigured to create a formal powder room, a significantly improved guest bathroom, and a more intimate music room / sitting room.
