How do you incorporate family pieces into a design, make them functional and give them a new look? This family wanted a comfortable, stylish, inviting and personalized space. They wanted to keep their family heirlooms but also wanted to add more contemporary items to give their home an updated look. New seating arrangement with a new sofa that can be reconfigured depending on the entertainment need was key to this room being functional, comfortable, and beautiful!

The large vanity area provides a his and her sink and lots of storage space. Storage towers on each end of the vanity can hold towels as well as personal care items. The low maintenance quartz countertop is in Cambria Summerhill. Behind the sinks you see a white tile backsplash in 4"x12" tile laid in a brick pattern finished with a chair rail edge.

This is the third of 3 master bedrooms in the main house. This is another room where the focus was to add contrast in color. The walls were painted in a soft green to brighten the space and give a nice background to the rich green and chocolate brown in the bedding. This project was furnished as a high end rental and because the closets were so well fitted with drawers, shelves and hanging space we decided not to add dressers to the bedrooms, instead, a reclaimed wood style desk was added. This gives a space for a laptop a place for organizing personal items.

This boldly color splashed mudroom was designed for a busy family who required individual storage space for each of their 5 children and hidden storage for overflow pantry items, seasonal items and utility items such as brooms and cleaning supplies. The dark colored floor tile is easy to clean and hides dirt in between cleanings. The crisp white custom cabinets compliment the nearby freshly renovated kitchen.
