This feel of the home and its permanent vista was significantly expanded by removing the foyer walls (the living area is flanked by the entry hall on the left and French doors on the right.) Formerly the walls and shelves of this study were stained a dark color. A white and taupe painted scheme totally refreshes the room. Contrasting subtly are tan panels above the white chair rail. Inspiration for a coastal bedroom remodel in Miami

Designers fabricate a custom double chaise lounger -- super-sized for our super star -- so the couple can comfortably lounge together in their home theater. The chaise backs up to a custom bar that encourages dining as well as note-taking during athletic events. A Bonisolli Photography

In the modern family, the furry members have to be considered. Removable, washable bedding in the dog kennel insures that the pet area stays clean. A metal laser-cut mesh plate covers the door and wall openings to support both the pets view and ventilation. Their toys are stashed inside as well. A Bonisolli Photography

The kitchen has a painted white, tongue-in-groove wood ceiling inset into its drywall trey, and offers all the amenities, including an integrated coffee station. The room’s twin airy iron light fixtures are complimented by black knobs and handles on both the stained and painted wood cabinets.

Pineapple House designed all integrated, energy efficient lighting and wall and ceiling treatments -- beams, coffers, drapery pockets -- and determined all the floor and tile patterns. Looking at the residence from a distance, it’s easy to see how the colors of the environment influence a homes’ color palette. The expansive central lanai outside the living room has four swivel chairs and a bed swing, perfect for lazy afternoon naps. Durable, high performance fabrics are employed inside and out for stress-free entertaining and wet bathing suits.

A sink area originally located along the back wall is reconfigured into a symmetrical double-sink vanity. Both sink mirrors are flanked by shelves of storage hidden behind tall, slender doors that are configured in the vanity to mimic columns.
