The residence received a full gut renovation to create a modern coastal retreat vacation home. This was achieved by using a neutral color pallet of sands and blues with organic accents juxtaposed with custom furniture’s clean lines and soft textures.

Eclectic screened-in porch idea in Burlington

Plexiglass sliding doors hide a highly functional and well defined pantry. Microwave and other small appliances are hidden within and get used in place without removing from the pantry. Interior lights turn the doors into subtle glowing vertical lights.

This beautiful and contemporary kitchen fits well with the more rustic quality of the wood floors, beams & posts. The stairway leads to what started as a space to pay bills in the attic. The space was redesigned to be a beautiful library room with an entire space covering Kalwall skylight.

The roof terrace is a most unique space and provides magnificent views from the highest point of the house. Inspired by the Mediterranean Sea of Ibiza, Sarah handpicked elements such as wood, plexiglass, and stone to furnish the property’s terraces. A bar made of stone allows one to sit down to enjoy the superb views. All the furniture, included the floor and planters, were designed by Sarah and were custom made.

I emphasized natural textures and I perfectely assorted them with the walls, the floors and log beams and the smoky plexiglass and straight lines from the fireplace design helped me counterbalance the abundance of raw finishes, which emanate warmth and give originality to the scenery.
