When our clients approached us to renovate their 1950s Newfoundland home, their goal was to modernize while reflecting both their West Coast roots and current East Coast lifestyle. What began as a simple ensuite repair expanded into a full home transformation, completed in two thoughtfully phased renovations. Drawing from our cross-coastal experience—and a personal connection to the home’s past—we blended classic East Coast charm with West Coast simplicity. From reworking the layout and finishes to integrating their art collection and layering in warm, tactile materials, every detail was designed to feel cohesive, inviting, and deeply personal.

Inviting, modern, and calm — this home was designed as a retreat for gathering, grounding, and living well. Porcelain tile throughout mimics the look of concrete flooring, paired with handmade clay tiles, custom artisan cabinetry, and copper and bronze accents that add warmth and visual depth. Vintage furniture, a curated art collection, beloved pottery, and even custom-fabricated vanity knobs infuse the interiors with personality and story. Set against crisp white walls, the layered textures and rich colors come forward, creating a home that feels modern yet soulful, personal yet timeless. Thoughtfully crafted in every detail, this Sonoma getaway embodies the balance of beauty, function, and ease that defines our work.

This classic white, small but spacious, galley kitchen was created by Bilotta designer, Tom Vecchio featuring Rutt Classic cabinetry in a shaker style door in white paint. The apartment overlooks Central Park so in order to take advantage of the breathtaking views Tom eliminated the cabinetry above the sink, as the original kitchen had been designed. The decorative shallow shelves mimic the custom curved mullion glass doors. The hardware is a mix of crystal knobs for the wall cabinets and polished chrome knobs and pulls for the bases and appliances, all by Top Knobs. Another great feature of this small kitchen is the Carrara marble countertop that extends beyond the sink to create a sitting area near the kitchen complete with Klismo-style chairs. The backsplash is Artistic Tile’s Chateau Danse Mosaic Blanc in Thassos and Calcatta Gold. Appliances are by Miele except for the refrigerator which is Subzero. The stainless steel undermount sink is by Franke and the faucet is the Julia collection by Waterworks in polished chrome.

We used: Custom cherry cabinetry in Arts & Crafts Shaker style by Kabinart in Boulder and Espresso stains. Liberty Hardware Venetian bronze 1-1/2" cabinet knobs. KitchenAid Architect II Series 22 CF counter-depth French door refrigerator. KitchenAid Architect Series II 27" convection single wall oven. Working with a very small footprint we did everything to maximize the space in this master bathroom. Removing the original door to the bathroom, we widened the opening to 48" and used a sliding frosted glass door to let in additional light and prevent the door from blocking the only window in the bathroom. Removing the original single vanity and bumping out the shower into a hallway shelving space, the shower gained two feet of depth and the owners now each have their own vanities!

The master bedroom of the Falcon II model has a double door entry, tray ceiling with ceiling fan, and a sliding barn door leading into the bathroom. The accent handles and door hardware is an aged bronze finish.

Split Level 1970 home of a young and active family of four. The main public spaces in this home were remodeled to create a fresh, clean look. The Jack + Mare demo'd the kitchen and dining room down to studs and removed the wall between the kitchen/dining and living room to create an open concept space with a clean and fresh new kitchen and dining with ample storage. Now the family can all be together and enjoy one another's company even if mom or dad is busy in the kitchen prepping the next meal. The custom white cabinets and the blue accent island (and walls) really give a nice clean and fun feel to the space. The island has a gorgeous local solid slab of wood on top. A local artisan salvaged and milled up the big leaf maple for this project. In fact, the tree was from the University of Portland's campus located right where the client once rode the bus to school when she was a child. So it's an extra special custom piece! (fun fact: there is a bullet lodged in the wood that is visible...we estimate it was shot into the tree 30-35 years ago!) The 'public' spaces were given a brand new waterproof luxury vinyl wide plank tile. With 2 young daughters, a large golden retriever and elderly cat, the durable floor was a must. project scope at quick glance: - demo'd and rebuild kitchen and dining room. - removed wall separating kitchen/dining and living room - removed carpet and installed new flooring in public spaces - removed stair carpet and gave fresh black and white paint - painted all public spaces - new hallway doorknob harware - all new LED lighting (kitchen, dining, living room and hallway) Jason Quigley Photography

Our individualized approach to decorating includes evaluating a property, listening to the homeowner’s unique wants and needs for the season, and then creating a customized decorating plan that matches each homeowner’s personality and love for the holidays.

Good things come in small packages, as Tricklebrook proves. This compact yet charming design packs a lot of personality into an efficient plan that is perfect for a tight city or waterfront lot. Inspired by the Craftsman aesthetic and classic All-American bungalow design, the exterior features interesting roof lines with overhangs, stone and shingle accents and abundant windows designed both to let in maximum natural sunlight as well as take full advantage of the lakefront views. The covered front porch leads into a welcoming foyer and the first level’s 1,150-square foot floor plan, which is divided into both family and private areas for maximum convenience. Private spaces include a flexible first-floor bedroom or office on the left; family spaces include a living room with fireplace, an open plan kitchen with an unusual oval island and dining area on the right as well as a nearby handy mud room. At night, relax on the 150-square-foot screened porch or patio. Head upstairs and you’ll find an additional 1,025 square feet of living space, with two bedrooms, both with unusual sloped ceilings, walk-in closets and private baths. This previously unused attic space is now a sauna/yoga room. The left sauna wall follows the attic rafters down diagonally to allow a wider space for leg room on the twin sauna benches.
