Zenlike in nature with its cool slate of grays, the powder room balances asymmetrical design with vertical elements. Large french country master carpeted and white floor bedroom photo in New York with white walls and no fireplace

A neutral color palette punctuated by warm wood tones and large windows create a comfortable, natural environment that combines casual southern living with European coastal elegance. The 10-foot tall pocket doors leading to a covered porch were designed in collaboration with the architect for seamless indoor-outdoor living. Decorative house accents including stunning wallpapers, vintage tumbled bricks, and colorful walls create visual interest throughout the space. We turned this bathroom into a standout feature of the home with bold wallpaper, playful colors, and eye-catching textures and patterns. The mix of fun materials added personality, creating a vibrant and memorable space.

This master bath was dark and dated. Although a large space, the area felt small and obtrusive. By removing the columns and step up, widening the shower and creating a true toilet room I was able to give the homeowner a truly luxurious master retreat. (check out the before pictures at the end) The ceiling detail was the icing on the cake! It follows the angled wall of the shower and dressing table and makes the space seem so much larger than it is. The homeowners love their Nantucket roots and wanted this space to reflect that.

Using additional space created from the demolition of an old fireplace- the laundry and powder room were reworked to create a clean up to date space.

Beside the bed is the way to the washroom. We wanted it bright to make it look larger than its size. The fittings are black but the walls are a powder blue, the cabinets are a genteel shade of lemon and the tiles are a play of our monochromatic colours. Despite the paucity of space, we created a loft, an essential element.
