This custom cooking wall combines classic craftsmanship with clean modern performance. A sculpted white range hood creates a strong architectural focal point, framed by natural wood cabinetry with glass display doors. The induction range sits between white shaker base cabinets topped with quartz countertops, delivering a durable and low-maintenance work surface. Handmade glazed subway tile introduces subtle texture across the backsplash while under-cabinet lighting highlights the tile variation. Warm brass hardware and wood tones soften the bright palette, creating a balanced cooking space that feels refined, practical, and inviting.

Inspiration for a mid-sized timeless l-shaped light wood floor eat-in kitchen remodel in Baltimore with an undermount sink, raised-panel cabinets, white cabinets, granite countertops, white backsplash, stone tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances and an island

The Vellore Village Residence was in dire need of a kitchen update. This out-dated and unfunctional space was given a contemporary face-lift. The design was based on function for the homeowner, by re-configuring the flow and creating more organized storage within the same footprint.

Modern kitchen renovation with dark walnut cabinet bases and uppers. Beautiful granite countertops with white on the outer counters and multi earth tone pattern on the island that picks up the huges of the floor. Wolfe appliances top off this stunning kitchen makeover.

Contemporary design needn’t be cold and stark; this kitchen is a study in blending colors, patterns, and finishes to dazzle at every turn. Flaunting the convention of pairing gloss white with matte wood, this does just the opposite: mixing matte white paint with high-gloss walnut-look laminate. But why stop there when you can introduce a softly pearlized chocolate textured laminate for even more interest? The upper section of the coffee area combines dark textured uppers with a gloss horizontal laminate backsplash. It pops against surrounding white bases, paneled refrigeration columns, and oven cabinet. While the waterfall island also features the textured laminate, the entire range/sink wall is white to accentuate the dark materials. A tall pantry is gloss wood laminate (here oriented vertically) that continues in a flyover to the oven cabinet.
Variety is even found in the hardware: wall cabinets have touch latches; white bases have brushed nickel edge pulls; and the textured laminate bases have bronze integrated channel pulls. The butler’s pantry includes a paneled wine refrigerator and corner sink. Its glass doors boast bronze metal frames with interiors of horizontal gloss laminate. Unifying the elements is honed “Calacatta Lincoln” marble for all the countertops and slab backsplashes.

This beautifully curated transitional kitchen blends warmth, functionality, and fresh design. Rich wood cabinetry along the range wall adds timeless depth, while soft sage green base cabinets and glass-front uppers at the beverage station introduce a light, organic contrast.
At the heart of the space is a spacious island in a muted sage tone, topped with crisp white quartz countertops and anchored by five sleek black bar stools. A matte black pull-down faucet and trio of modern globe pendant lights create a balanced mix of traditional charm and contemporary edge.
Stainless steel appliances—including a built-in oven/microwave combo, double-door refrigerator, and a chimney-style range hood—blend seamlessly into the cabinetry. Wide-plank wood flooring and minimalist black hardware complete this inviting, functional space that feels both grounded and fresh.

At the center of this sophisticated home is a clean, bright kitchen that is full of personality. The large contrasting island is wrapped in ebony cabinetry and topped with a Calacatta Gold quartz countertop; creating the perfect gathering place for friends and family. The highlight of this kitchen must be the custom walnut exhaust hood. Extended the full width of the counterspace, the vertical grain walnut conceals the exhaust hood as well as recessed lighting. This is wrapped on all sides by deep pantries, finished in a warm white cabinetry to match the base cabinets below. On the left, a double wall oven is perfectly positioned for ease of cooking while providing visual balance to the fridge on the opposite wall. A tall pantry to the right of the cooktop delineates an adjacent bar area, complete with wine fridge and open shelving to match the kitchen. Warm hardwood flooring extends seamlessly into the kitchen space, complimenting the warmth of the walnut and contrasting the black and white cabinetry. The backsplash tile is a spin on the classic subway, the hand-made white tiles dotted with copper accents. Together, the contrast of dark and light, warm and cool finishes come together in this kitchen to create a space that can truly be described as the heart of the home.

When this suburban family decided to renovate their kitchen, they knew that they wanted a little more space. Advance Design worked together with the homeowner to design a kitchen that would work for a large family who loved to gather regularly and always ended up in the kitchen! So the project began with extending out an exterior wall to accommodate a larger island and more moving-around space between the island and the perimeter cabinetry.
Style was important to the cook, who began collecting accessories and photos of the look she loved for months prior to the project design. She was drawn to the brightness of whites and grays, and the design accentuated this color palette brilliantly with the incorporation of a warm shade of brown woods that originated from a dining room table that was a family favorite. Classic gray and white cabinetry from Dura Supreme hits the mark creating a perfect balance between bright and subdued. Hints of gray appear in the bead board detail peeking just behind glass doors, and in the application of the handsome floating wood shelves between cabinets. White subway tile is made extra interesting with the application of dark gray grout lines causing it to be a subtle but noticeable detail worthy of attention.
Suede quartz Silestone graces the countertops with a soft matte hint of color that contrasts nicely with the presence of white painted cabinetry finished smartly with the brightness of a milky white farm sink. Old melds nicely with new, as antique bronze accents are sprinkled throughout hardware and fixtures, and work together unassumingly with the sleekness of stainless steel appliances.
The grace and timelessness of this sparkling new kitchen maintains the charm and character of a space that has seen generations past. And now this family will enjoy this new space for many more generations to come in the future with the help of the team at Advance Design Studio.

Transitional medium tone wood floor kitchen photo in San Francisco with shaker cabinets, white cabinets, white backsplash, stainless steel appliances and an island

A beautiful transitional design was created by removing the range and microwave and adding a cooktop, under counter oven and hood. The microwave was relocated and an under counter microwave was incorporated into the design. These appliances were moved to balance the design and create a perfect symmetry. Additionally the small appliances, coffee maker, blender and toaster were incorporated into the pantries to keep them hidden and the tops clean. The walls were removed to create a great room concept that not only makes the kitchen a larger area but also transmits an inviting design appeal.
The master bath room had walls removed to accommodate a large double vanity. Toilet and shower was relocated to recreate a better design flow.
Products used were Miralis matte shaker white cabinetry. An exotic jumbo marble was used on the island and quartz tops throughout to keep the clean look.
