The dining room received a major transformation. The walls and ceilings were resurfaced, the sliding doors were replaced with a walk-out. The light fixture was replaced with a trendy industrial style fixture and edison bulbs. The dining table felt hip and cool with its solid acacia wood, and contrasting bench with 4 chairs. The exterior of the home received a major facelift and transformation, including new light fixtures, updated roof and facia, updated wood beams, wood door, wood ceiling and stone added to the entrance and more. This took the home from a dated look to an updated and fresh "modern farmhouse" aesthetic. The kitchen layout remained intact, while appliances, fixtures, hardware, countertops and backsplashes were upgraded . All three bathrooms in the house were also renovated, original hardwood floors were refinished and carpet and tile flooring throughout replaced. Additionally, the dated built-in brick fireplace on the ground floor game room was redesigned. The new fireplace design would now directly tie in with the modern farmhouse style of the exterior, complete with the addition of a large wooden mantle. DTSH Interiors formulated a plan for six rooms; the living room, dining room, master bedroom, two children's bedrooms and ground floor game room, with the inclusion of the complete fireplace re-design. The interior also received major upgrades during the whole-house renovation. All of the walls and ceilings were resurfaced, the windows, doors and all interior trim was re-done. The end result was a giant leap forward for this family; in design, style and functionality. The home felt completely new and refreshed, and once fully furnished, all elements of the renovation came together seamlessly and seemed to make all of the renovations shine. During the "big reveal" moment, the day the family finally returned home for their summer away, it was difficult for me to decide who was more excited, the adults or the kids! The home owners kept saying, with a look of delighted disbelief "I can't believe this is our house!" As a designer, I absolutely loved this project, because it shows the potential of an average, older Pittsburgh area home, and how it can become a well designed and updated space. It was rewarding to be part of a project which resulted in creating an elegant and serene living space the family loves coming home to everyday, while the exterior of the home became a standout gem in the neighborhood.

Originally white laminate, the kitchen cabinets were refinished to a custom white painted finish. The Island was refinished to a custom gray painted finish. Other additions include the following: Cove crown molding, under cabinet light rail molding, Limestone backsplash, raised side panels, built-in refrigerator, new Drawers on Island, woodgrain tile flooring, Top Knobs hardware and freshly painted walls.

Our customers knew they wanted to update the primary bathroom in their Gainesville home with traditional colors and selection choices for their vanity and countertops. Not so traditional? The new "shower room" which makes access to the shower and bath tub incredibly accessible. We love how open this makes the entire space!

The kids Jack and Jill bath received a full makeover with knotty alder vanities, a Dekton counter top and antique pewter finishes on the plumbing fixtures. The pebble tile left with a natural edge gives this bathroom a cool rustic feel to it. The bath/shower combo is clean and easy to maintain with a striped pattern of flat and wavy tile. The guest bath received a partial black and white update. The shower was in great shape so we chose to keep it and switch the fixtures to matte black. The floor received a patterned tile and a new white vanity cleaned up the space. A matte black metal framed mirror and shelving unit complete the look.

As part of Valor Roofing’s Raise the Roof program, US Army Veteran, SGT George Welch received a free roof on his home in Edgewater, MD. SGT Welch is 73 years old and was an Army Military Policeman (31B), as well as a Gunner on a Helicopter Gunship. His platoon was involved in the Battle of Saigon in which they were trapped in an alleyway. Unfortunately, a few of his platoon members did not survive. “When we consider a Veteran for the Raise the Roof Program, it is important to not only establish a need, but to ensure we recognize the Veteran for their dedication to our country,” said Al Kincaid, Founder of Raise the Roof.“ SGT Welch exemplifies the bravery and heroism we have come to expect from our servicemen and women. Furthermore, SGT Welch deserves a roof that is sturdy and safe. His current home desperately needs something that we can provide. It is our duty as grateful Americans to do our part.” Living in Edgewater, Maryland for the last 41 years has been a blessing for SGT Welch, but more importantly, for the community that surrounds him. SGT Welch is a cancer survivor, but that doesn’t limit his ability to walk his beloved dogs and get his daily exercise in. This is wonderful news for the neighboring K-9’s, as they all have grown accustom to sneaking a dog treat from his pockets — purposefully — full of delicious snacks. “SGT Welch was flabbergasted when we arrived. Most Veterans are very humble and do not believe they deserve recognition for their service,” said Will Fisher, Program and Brand Manager at Valor, “After we saw his reaction, we took a moment to show respect. The last thing we wanted was to overwhelm him even more. That is just the type of guy he is; humble and prideful.” The Raise the Roof program was created by Valor Roofing to give back to service disabled veterans in need, especially Veterans of Foreign Wars such as WW2, Korean War and Vietnam War. Veteran recipients are nominated by their community through Valor Roofing’s radio partners 93.1 WPOC, 98.7 WMZQ, 105.7 The Fan, and 100.7 The Bay. With hundreds of applications to choose from, Valor Roofing selects four veterans a year, one per quarter, to receive a new roof. In less than three years, the program has donated 11 roofs, a value of $132,000. Through their partnership with Operation Second Chance and Flags of Valor (FOV), each recipient also receives a custom wooden flag, hand-built by veterans.

This project involved a complete top to bottom remodel of the main house, and finishing a basement to be used as an ADU. The interior of the home received new windows, doors, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, backsplashes, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, paint, and trim in every room of the house. In addition, the following spaces had extra features we installed. The kitchen features new appliances and hood. The living family room had a new fireplace and mantle built in. All bathrooms received custom tile work in showers, new tubs and toilets. All bedrooms received custom built in closets.

Built in 1858, this historic Fairfax farmhouse was recently remodeled with the addition of a central hearth room and three car garage with a full in law suite above. Designed to keep the new addition looking as close to the original building as possible was the goal of the entire MOSS team.

Our company recently renovated this home, a home we had previously renovated 20 years prior. The focus of the renovation was on updating the kitchen, gathering room, sunroom, guest bath, and main level. The kitchen received new custom cabinetry with convenient features like roll-out storage and a hidden charging station, as well as luxury appliances and an Italian tile backsplash. The gathering room was updated with a new fireplace and Marvin French sliding doors, and open shelving was added to give the space a modern feel. The sunroom had an oversized entertainment center removed and replaced with a sleek, modern entertainment center. The guest bath received new cabinetry and a fresh, updated look. The main level was painted, received new hardwood flooring and trim, and a central vacuum system was added. The A/V system was also upgraded throughout the home. We remodeled this lovely 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom, 3,300 sq. home in Arcadia. This beautiful home was built in the 1990s and has gone through various remodeling phases over the years. We now gave this home a unified new fresh modern look with a cozy feeling. We reconfigured several parts of the home according to our client’s preference. The entire house got a brand net of state-of-the-art Milgard windows. On the first floor, we remodeled the main staircase of the home, demolishing the wet bar and old staircase flooring and railing. The fireplace in the living room receives brand new classic marble tiles. We removed and demolished all of the roman columns that were placed in several parts of the home. The entire first floor, approximately 1,300 sq of the home, received brand new white oak luxury flooring. The dining room has a brand new custom chandelier and a beautiful geometric wallpaper with shiny accents. We reconfigured the main 17-staircase of the home by demolishing the old wooden staircase with a new one. The new 17-staircase has a custom closet, white oak flooring, and beige carpet, with black ½ contemporary iron balusters. We also create a brand new closet in the landing hall of the second floor. On the second floor, we remodeled 4 bedrooms by installing new carpets, windows, and custom closets. We remodeled 3 bathrooms with new tiles, flooring, shower stalls, countertops, and vanity mirrors. The master bathroom has a brand new freestanding tub, a shower stall with new tiles, a beautiful modern vanity, and stone flooring tiles. We also installed built a custom walk-in closet with new shelves, drawers, racks, and cubbies.Each room received a brand new fresh coat of paint.
