This loft style apartment in the heart of downtown Manhattan was renovated by Collaborated Works in 2008. Collaborated works opened up the apartment removing walls and replacing them with sliding glass panels to create one large open space for a busy New York City couple. The walls were lacquered to liven up the space. Custom lighting was designed for the space as well as custom book shelves and built in marble table.

Our clients wanted to create a beautiful and open concept living space for entertaining while maximized the natural lighting throughout their midcentury modern Mackay home. Light silvery gray and bright white tones create a contemporary and sophisticated space; combined with elegant rich, dark woods throughout.
Removing the center wall and brick fireplace between the kitchen and dining areas allowed for a large seven by four foot island and abundance of light coming through the floor to ceiling windows and addition of skylights. The custom low sheen white and navy blue kitchen cabinets were designed by Segale Bros, with the goal of adding as much organization and access as possible with the island storage, drawers, and roll-outs.
Black finishings are used throughout with custom black aluminum windows and 3 panel sliding door by CBW Windows and Doors. The clients designed their custom vertical white oak front door with CBW Windows and Doors as well.

A luxurious en suite bath was created within this classic 1925 Portland bungalow by reconfiguring the second story’s original small bedrooms and tiny half bath. In this welcoming new urban boho space, eclectic finishes mingle harmoniously, integrated through subtle repetition of shapes and materials.
A furniture-style vanity sets the tone for this luxurious space, introducing materials, colors, shapes, and textures that repeat throughout. Individual walnut hexagons join to create distinctive vanity doors, offset beautifully by horizontal-grain drawers. Topping the cabinetry is a simple concrete countertop with integral sinks. An expansive framed mirror above enlarges and brightens the room. Within the mirror, sconces float, their globes a nod to the hexagons below. Champagne bronze fixtures reflect the warm walnut glow. Nestled into the back corner, a stunning shower features waterjet tiles in a double herringbone pattern, each precisely cut and laid to maintain design integrity at every surface transition. Teak floor tiles and a pebbled niche hint at the classic spa experience. Across from the shower, a large hexagonal window provides a treetop view from the free-standing tub below. The gentle oval of the tub and the beaded chandelier above provide a pleasing contrast to the strong lines surrounding it, as do the softly-shaded pebbles in the full-length niche. Shiplap wainscotting wraps the room, creating an illusion of height in the compact space. Subtle flooring and soft green walls create an understated backdrop for the bold mix of materials, unifying them into a serene oasis.
Asking a century-old home to accommodate a modern luxury bath is a tall order. Asbestos-laden plaster and flooring had to be abated. The subfloor had to be leveled and reinforced to increase strength and prevent deflection. Water lines and multiple electrical circuits had to be brought across and up without disturbing a beautifully-paneled ceiling, something we accomplished by firring out stair walls to hide the chases. Our client had visions of a leafy view from her tub, but the new layout eliminated existing windows. Placing a new window was complicated by deep eaves and flat soffits. By pushing the header into the roofline, however, we were able to accommodate a picture window. The flat soffit was replaced by an inverse hip lined with stained tongue and groove cedar, tying it to the bathroom finishes. Bringing materials up a narrow staircase became truly challenging when it was time to install the big items. However, strategic removal of drywall around the landing got the job done. Our attention to detail is showcased in the shower tile, where precise cuts were required at surface transitions to maintain the integrity of a complex double herringbone lay. The project was delivered on time.
Savvy layout choices minimized spending on structural changes. Because we were dealing with dormer space, head height was an issue. Raising the ceiling would have been complex and expensive so our design accommodated the constraints – tub on the low outside wall, shower on the full-height interior wall. The vanity spanned the spread, accommodating our petite client on the exterior side and her taller husband on the interior side. An under-eave closet was closed off to create room for both a freestanding tub and a separate shower. Rather than building replacement storage elsewhere, we simply added a new door into the closet from the primary bedroom. This was made possible by absorbing the short hallway separating the existing bed and bathroom into the primary bedroom. This new layout also created an en suite relationship between the primary bedroom and the new bath. We saved additional dollars by selecting a furniture-style vanity rather than using custom cabinetry, and the countertop with integral sinks provided a cost savings over a more traditional quartz countertop with undermount sinks. Affordable shower tiles allowed us to put more money into a dynamic tile layout. The project was delivered within budget.

Objective:
This couple was tired of the old brick look of their family room and its embedded fireplace.
They wanted to uplift the entire room, with better lighting, updated built ins and new gas log fireplace.
Challenges:
It was not an easy task to get rid of all masonry and brick wall.
Gas lines and powder line were quite distance away and the family room floor was a concrete slab.
Design solutions:
It was important for the couple to create an optional separation between the family room and the kitchen for times that she is having her book club gang over and husband wanted to watch his sporting events.
Part of the wall between kitchen and family room was taken by a closet.
We have removed that entire wall and implemented a 6” wide Barn door for a partial solution to their problem.
New wiring for light and cable wires were running into the old masonry wall.
Gas line gave the old wood burning fireplace and new life.
Custom built in cabinetry was placed in place old masonry wall.
A new stone hearth and surround wrapped around the new fireplace.
New hardwood wide plank flooring gave this family room warmth.
New recess lighting has offered a much brighter room.
Outcome:
He gets to enjoy his favorite football team beat up the rebels while she gets to have her tea party around the kitchen table.
And in all other occasions they get to cuddle by the flames of a new fireplace.

Removed old bifold door and added new, up to date barn door in master bedroom.

This project is an elegant transformation that takes a dated kitchen and living room and removes all of the heavy visual weight to make way for a clean and crisp collection of spaces that are quintessentially Colorado! This project was not without issue: the initial contractor completely dropped the ball and left the space unfinished and in disrepair. After battling through the process of getting things on track for almost a year, the end result is truly worth it. The kitchen's old oak cabinets were removed and replaced with gorgeous transitional white cabinetry from Waypoint Living Spaces. We created a monochromatic palette that moves the eye through the space using texture and light. The far end of the kitchen is highlighted by a large artisan wood range hood, mini-brick stacked stone backsplash, and gorgeous marble inspired quartz countertops. The floors were refinished to a lighter and brighter hardwood, and new lighting was introduced throughout the home. In the living room, we removed the faux wall treatment on the fireplace and have replaced this with a sparkling white stacked stone. One of our favorite features is the custom shelving and copper-lined wood bin next to the fireplace, along with the hand-hewn mantle from KC Heister. This home is a welcoming winter wonderland that is cheery and cozy at every turn! We love this result and are so happy that our clients finally get to enjoy this for years to come! Thanks so much to Grace Combs for these gorgeous interior shots!

Modern Sophistication Meets Everyday Durability
Step into a home redefined by clean lines and thoughtful design. This complete interior remodel showcases a seamless blend of modern elegance and practical luxury, designed for those who appreciate the finer details.
Elevated Finishes
The foundation of the home features 100% waterproof luxury vinyl plank flooring, offering the timeless look of hardwood with unmatched durability. To anchor the space, we installed bold 5-inch modern baseboards, providing a crisp, architectural frame for every room.
A Designer’s Palette
The home’s character is defined by a sophisticated two-tone color scheme. While the walls offer a warm, inviting backdrop, the doors, trim, and baseboards feature a distinct, complementary hue. This high-contrast approach highlights the custom woodwork and gives the entire home a professionally curated feel.
Brilliant Lighting & Privacy
We’ve opened up the atmosphere with a comprehensive LED thin-can lighting package. These recessed lights offer a sleek, low-profile look while bathing the home in bright, energy-efficient light. To finish the look, brand-new custom blinds were installed throughout, offering the perfect balance of natural light control and contemporary style.

My young professional clients loved everything about their townhouse on the Hudson except for the cramped, dark, uninviting kitchen. During their frequent dinner parties they were always separated from their guests. Light which filled the rest of the living area never made it into the kitchen. Their most important request in this remodel was to create a bright, contemporary, light filled kitchen where their cooking would take center stage.
We started by removing a large portion of the wall separating the kitchen and dining area. This integrated the kitchen into the living space and allowed interaction between cook and guests. Next we removed a side wall to gain more cabinet and countertop space. Existing drop ceilings were removed giving extra height in the wall cabinets. A raised waterfall end eating counter keeps the visual line clean and provides ample counter space for dining or wine tasting. Bright white painted cabinets with recessed panels and a crisp white quartz counter create a bright contemporary space. Blue white and taupe subway tiles made from recycled glass add a feel of waves to the back splash. A coordinating blue paint adds to the beachy vibe of the room. Shiny easy to clean stainless appliances are both functional and attractive especially as they are seen from the entire living area. The new engineered wood flooring was continued up the wall under the eating counter. The material provides a more durable surface than painted sheet rock.
Recessed LED ceiling lights and under cabinet lights provide all the task lighting needed to prepare meals while using very little energy. Instead of installing any hanging fixtures which might block the open feeling, smaller can LED lights were installed over the raised counter.

Remarkable Condo Transformation at Grand Preserve
Welcome to our latest project reveal: the stunning transformation of a 2,885 SF luxury condo. Join us as we take you on a room-by-room tour of this beautiful space and share the before and after moments that will leave you speechless. From a completely upgraded kitchen to a luxurious master bathroom, the results of our redesign have created an elegant, comfortable, and inviting living space that perfectly blends style and functionality. Let's dive in and explore the meticulous details of this awe-inspiring transformation.
Reworked Front Entryway:
A first impression sets the tone for the overall experience, and that is precisely what we aimed to achieve with the front entryway. We reconfigured this area to make it more welcoming and functional, adding stylish yet practical elements that would make any guest feel instantly at home. By removing a large, outdated built-in console, we gave this space an instant refresh and created a more visually harmonious entryway.
Completely Upgraded Kitchen:
The heart of every home is the kitchen, and this luxury condo got the full treatment. We replaced the old cabinetry with new, contemporary flat front cabinets, and installed white quartz countertops that ooze elegance. The addition of a new white beauty quartz island provides ample space for meal prep or casual dining, while the custom tile backsplash adds a stunning visual element. As the cherry on top, we installed top-of-the-line appliances for the ultimate cooking experience.
Open Floor Plan:
To create a more open and inviting living space, we removed the wall between the morning room and dining room. This smart design move allowed natural light to flow through the entire space, making it feel even larger and more welcoming. By connecting these two areas visually and physically, we created the perfect setting for entertaining guests or enjoying a cozy night in.
Master Bedroom Makeover:
The master bedroom needed a breath of fresh air, and that's exactly what it got. We removed the dated carpeting and replaced it with new, elegant flooring that gives the room a more sophisticated and polished appearance. In this sanctuary, you can now enjoy a soothing and tranquil retreat away from everyday life.
Master Bath Overhaul:
A complete overhaul was in order for the master bathroom, and we went all out to create a spa-like oasis. The once-cramped space was opened up, and new, stunning flooring was installed. We added custom cabinetry for optimal storage and organization, and topped them with gorgeous new white quartz countertops. The shower was upgraded with elegant tile and the addition of a practical yet luxurious shower seat.
New Exterior Sliding doors:
Last but not least, we made a significant improvement to the exterior of the luxury condo by adding new, high-quality sliding doors. These not only enhance the condo's aesthetic appeal but also create a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience by providing easy access to a breathtaking outdoor space.
This remarkable luxury condo transformation attests to the positive impact of thoughtful design and expert craftsmanship. Every detail of the project reflects our dedication to delivering a comfortable and stylish haven for our clients. The end result? A 2,885 SF wonderland that elevates everyday living and provides the perfect backdrop for making memories that will last a lifetime. We hope this transformation inspires you to reimagine your own living spaces and create the sanctuary you've been dreaming of.

The vanity, commode, and shower spaces in this master bath were cramped and uncomfortable. We expanded this bath within the existing square footage by using part of an exceptionally large bedroom. The window was originally in the commode compartment added to the overall dreariness of it. Walls were removed and repositioned to create a far more open feel. The vanities now provide far more storage and efficiency, not to mention beauty. And the really spectacular element we a huge shower area with 3 positions for bathing. It works well for mom and dad and their 3 teenage boys use it, as well.

Congratulations to the family that allowed us to transform their kitchen space! We managed to complete this remodel - just in time for them to bring a beautiful baby girl into this world!
It was quite an amazing experience to design and remodel this home with our new Medallion Cabinetry product line. The main area of cabinetry features our Gold Line in Park Place door style, in the color Sea Salt with Pewter Highlight. Their new 7ft island is our Appaloosa Peppercorn with matching island legs.
New Vista managed this project from start to finish, including all permits required by the local building department.
The previous 20ft wall had been located from the area of the remaining post to the window to the right of the sink, shown in these photos. Proper removal of this wall did require a structurally sound weight load transfer in the attic. Safety comes first!
Also included: Granite counters, new appliances, brick style backsplash, flooring, gas line/plumbing/electrical relocation, can lighting and new plumbing fixtures.
Our CAD drawings are proving to be incredibly helpful in the design process of our remodels, allowing customers to really SEE what they can do with the space they have!
This project had closed without any change orders and the total time encompassed exactly 8wks - from demolition to final inspection!

We had a blast helping Maggie & Chris with their kitchen renovation project. After planning with Maggie we knew it was our mission to transform their outdated kitchen into a modern and bright area.
The perimeter cabinets were refinished, and a new custom island finished in colors from Sherwin Williams. The perimeter cabinet is Snowbound, and the Island is Online. In the design of the custom Island, they wanted to remove the countertop microwave. The new island features the built-in appliance and accommodate a beverage fridge. Because this island would be a family meeting place. They asked us to equip the island for maximum charging devices.
To balance the two-toned cabinets, we installed a darker countertop on the perimeter called Metropolitan Grey. Metropolitan Grey has a concrete texture that added a whole new dimension to the project. The island countertop is called Arabescato Como. Which adds a clean and classic appearance to the project. Both countertops are sustainable quartz from Arizona Tile.
For the backsplash we wanted to go classic. Carrara Marble Bianco Carrara Hexagon. This mosaic was a mix of the cool and warm tones which highlighted the other selections of the home. We grouted the mosaic with a warm grey grout which makes the individual hexagons pop and warm the space.
With Maggie’s personality we had to install these pendant lights. This pendant has many different installation options, we installed them in a unique pattern which gives it a nice three-dimensional element.

With the help of our designer, picking every element for the new kitchen, each one of them provides a unique and sleek feel. A few items that help achieve that sleek look, was a modern modular stainless steel kitchen sink that came with accessories such as a removable drying rack, cutting board and a waste basket for food prep. The faucet comes from Delta. The Delta Essa kitchen faucet in matte black provides that slim low-profile.
Finally, the kitchen was painted with Sherwin William Drift Of Mist. This color is a chameleon and is a champ of tying warm tones to cool tones. The crisp line of white from the cabinetry to the natural wood tones in the floor.
