This home in Bonita Bay, Florida is located in a development designed with a tropical, entertaining-friendly courtyard floor plan, barrel tile roofs, and arched windows. The only thing missing was a modern, elegant and functional kitchen where two chefs could work simultaneously and have better flow among the surrounding spaces. Having worked with Progressive Design before on three prior renovations, all in less than one year, Progressive was the obvious choice for their fourth major remodel—this masterful kitchen renovation. Challenge Ultimately, Progressive Design Build was tasked with transforming a closed-off kitchen into an open concept floor plan. The design and production team began working on a solution to the structural beam support—confirming its adequacy for supporting the loft above after cutting a few holes in the drywall. Secondly, the size of the current marble tile flooring was no longer available. We needed a solution that would seamlessly blend the new flooring with the old. Thirdly, the existing lighting plan was inefficient and would need to be updated to accommodate the new island location and kitchen layout. Solution Since the existing marble flooring tile size was no longer available, we designed a beautiful stone border between the new kitchen and the existing living space to create a small break in the two-floor patterns, minimizing the noticeable difference in the tile sizes. Once installed, we re-polished and sealed the entire floor creating a beautiful sheen and natural flow throughout the space. The new location of the kitchen island, as well as additional perimeter lighting, necessitated the need to move electrical outlets and light switches to a more convenient and intuitive location. This was implemented strategically using a well-thought-out lighting plan. The clients were thrilled when we suggested removing a sink from their existing wet bar (which was rarely used) and moved the wet bar drain to the new laundry room, located on the backside of the wet bar. Special features include custom-designed Dura Supreme cabinets painted in a white finish, for the kitchen, wet bar, and laundry room; Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, and an impressive gas range with downdraft at the cooktop. Results Not only was this Bonita Bay couple thrilled to receive all of their remodel wish list items, but Progressive Design Build was able to complete their project ahead of schedule and on budget.

Due to the high water table this pool is slightly elevated and only five feet deep. Full length steps adorn the pool and allows for guest and children access in and out of the pool and the ability to sit and enjoy the refreshing waters no matter what comfort level swimmer you are. The auto cover on this pool keeps it protected from leaves and chemical robbing sun rays and rain when not in use by being closed. Our clients came to as they were about to seal the deal on their new home in Littleton, CO. The order of business was a full kitchen overhaul to create a space that would function for the young familyof four and add value to the home. Much of the home was in need of updating but the clients really wanted to focus their design efforts on the kitchen. They knew they wanted to get it right. The goal was transform the small closed off kitchen into a welcome light filled gathering space. We maximized the natural lighting by eliminating the dropped ceiling looming over the existing kitchen. The lofty ceiling and existing window gift the space a bright and airy feeling. We also opened up a large section of the wall separating the mudroom from the kitchen to provide a view outside and brought more light into the space. The large stainless steel farmhouse sink by Vigo sits under the new wall opening with a great view out the window just beyond. A large five and a half foot by ten foot island is home to a 36” gas range, pots and pan storage, a drawer microwave, vertical tray storage, a pull out pantry, two trash can centers for trash and recycling, and seating for five. We selected a medium gray for the walls (Sherwin-Williams Elephant Ear) to set of the linen white shaker cabinetry. Two large pendants provide over island lighting and add a touch of warmth with the basket weave shades. We transformed what was once a built-in desk area, into a large built-in pantry. A hammered silver pendant over the sink offers task lighting. Cup pulls and knobs from Amerock’s Rochdale collection complete the look.

This master bathroom remodel in The Woodlands, TX features a clean, modern upgrade with new lighting, fixtures, and detailed craftsmanship throughout. The project includes a full interior repaint of the bathroom, creating a bright and refreshed look. Elegant sconce lights were installed to frame the vanity and enhance the ambience, adding both warmth and a designer touch. The space was redesigned around a modern freestanding tub and an updated shower area, giving the bathroom a more open and luxurious feel. We also installed a custom entry pocket door with a soft-close system to maximize space and improve functionality. The closet door was updated with new rails for smooth and reliable operation. Additional work included sealing plumbing fixtures, updating tub and shower trim, and completing detailed touch-ups to ensure a polished final finish. The updated space now offers improved lighting, smoother usability, and a clean, cohesive look, completed with Rolling Nations’ attention to detail and commitment to quality.

This is part of a whole home remodel we completed and featured in the Home Builder's Association Showcase of Remodeled Homes. The old bathroom was cramped and crowded. There was a wall at the end of the vanity with no real purpose. The toilet was next to the bathtub/shower unit. Our redesign took out that wall and swapped the toilet to the other side. The clients wanted a soaking tub and a stand-alone tiled shower, so we put the shower in where the toilet used to be. The shower is a tiled in shower, with two large cubbies for shampoos, etc and a diagonal bench seat in the back corner. It is tiled with a matter 3"x6" subway tile. The fixtures are a clean chrome finish. It is closed in by a glass surround expertly done by our friends at Twin Bay Glass. The tub was replaced with a deep soaking acrylic tub that was surrounded by two walls of matte subway tile and one wall of custom built tigerwood which is a beautiful exotic hardwood that was sealed and varnished to withstand the water. The tub fixtures of course match the shower and are a nice clean finish. The old ceiling texture was scraped and sanded and painted white. The walls were painted Painter's white. Planning and construction took just 24 months, giving LEICHT CEO Stefan Waldenmaier the opportunity to officially open the prestigious new building on Gmünder Straße in Waldstetten on 17 October. The event was then duly celebrated with international partners, suppliers, service providers and business associates. The architecture – transparent and open at the same time The architectural firm Patzner from Stuttgart presented the perfect design: an elongated, cubic building that, only at first, seems almost sealed off, floating on a transparent, glazed base all round. A powerful and at the same time fragile building which arouses interest and grabs your attention with this contrast between open and closed.

Steadfast in their commitment to energy consciousness, our clients chose a closed attic system. Completely air sealed and insulated with polyurethane foam between the roof rafters and floor joists, the attic eliminates air infiltration and creates a buffer zone between the inside conditioned air and the outside air temperature.

A large five and a half foot by ten foot island is home to a 36” gas range, pots and pan storage, a drawer microwave, vertical tray storage, a pull out pantry, two trash can centers for trash and recycling, and seating for five. We selected a medium gray for the walls (Sherwin-Williams Elephant Ear) to set of the linen white shaker cabinetry. Two large pendants provide over island lighting and add a touch of warmth with the basket weave shades. We transformed what was once a built-in desk area, into a large built-in pantry. A hammered silver pendant over the sink offers task lighting. Cup pulls and knobs from Amerock’s Rochdale collection complete the look.

Our design for the expansion and gut renovation of a small 1200 square foot house in a residential neighborhood triples is size, and reworks the living arrangement. The rear addition takes advantage of southern exposure with a "greenhouse" room that provides solar heat gain in winter, shading in summer, and a vast connection to the rear yard. Architecturally, we used an approach we call "willful practicality." The new soaring ceiling ties together first and second floors in a dramatic volumetric expansion of space, while providing increased ventilation and daylighting from greenhouse to operable windows and skylights at the peak. Exterior pockets of space are created from curved forces pushing in from outside to form cedar clad porch and stoop. Sustainable design is employed throughout all materials, energy systems and insulation. Masonry exterior walls and concrete floors provide thermal mass for the interior by insulating the exterior. An ERV system facilitates increased air changes and minimizes changes to the interior air temperature. Energy and water saving features and renewable, non-toxic materal selections are important aspects of the house design. Environmental community issues are addressed with a drywell in the side yard to mitigate rain runoff into the town sewer system. The long sloping south facing roof is in anticipation of future solar panels, with the standing seam metal roof providing anchoring opportunities for the panels. The exterior walls are clad in stucco, cedar, and cement-fiber panels defining different areas of the house. Closed cell spray insulation is applied to exterior walls and roof, giving the house an "air-tight" seal against air infiltration and a high R-value. The ERV system provides the ventilation needed with this tight envelope.
