To carry her style to her boudoir, we custom made a dramatic tufted headboard, and her Grandmother’s sentimental chair was upholstered in a hot pink velvet splash of color that made a traditional piece of furniture blend in harmoniously into a contemporary setting. We provided the restroom with a welcoming clean look, incorporating glass tiles and crystal lighting, twinkling the setting, pleasingly combining with the room.

This remodel involved a lot of reconfiguring of the main floor. The kitchen moved to the back of the house, where it overlooks the lovely back yard, and provides more connection to the living room. The laundry, mudroom, powder room, and dining room were also relocated for a better use of the space. The driving factor of this project was the desire for the family to feel more connected to their home and to each other. This stained glass piece has been in the family for years. We incorporated it into the wall between the living and dining rooms , where it passes light through, while creating a sentimental focal point. We also added LED lighting for additional highlights.

Our client hired us to give her grandson's room a makeover of the year! We wanted to tap into that "urban" energy and we did just that with this graffiti wallpaper and iron floating shelves. We made sure he still felt "at-home" in this space by displaying some of his sentimental items. The color-changing RGB lights also added to the "teenage" vibe of this space!

A bright and happy dining table was placed In front of the only window in a galley style kitchen. We reused the client's existing table and chairs which had sentimental value. The chairs were updated with a coat of pear colored paint and new fabric covered the seats. A light blue table cloth protects the table top and adds to the color scheme.

By incorporating items of family history and other sentimental items, Thornton Landscape helped Joyce tell her life story in landscape. The design includes a brick from her high school, stepping stones with her grandchildren’s handprints and a sculpture that reminds her of her late husband.
