While the root of the scope stayed the same - open the kitchen to the dining and living rooms - this project grew into so much more than just reconfiguring spaces. The design team loved the creativity that comes from working with a trusting client and our opportunity to flex our design muscles in the mid century category. The goal was to not be literal with the design style, but to be respectful of the home’s original architecture and features while making it decidedly Pacific Northwest by letting it’s setting in the trees really shine! We doubled the size of the kitchen, taking over an unused second eat-in space that sat immediately next to the homes dining room. We opened the walls between the dining/kitchen/and hallway creating an expansive open feel. Step in pantry closet that was lacking in efficiency and took up precious walk-way space was removed in favor of a custom pantry cabinet with roll-out shelves for easy use. The custom walnut stair railing is a welcomed greeting near the front door and ties all of the spaces together.

This Atlanta residence brings together refined aesthetics and contemporary functionality, elevated by a full-home furniture concept from LAZZONI. Each room is thoughtfully furnished to reflect the client’s taste for modern sophistication and clean, architectural lines. In the living area, a custom-configured MONY modular sofa sets the tone with its adjustable comfort and sculptural presence, anchored by geometric GONA coffee tables. The dining room features the streamlined FLY table, while bedrooms are grounded in LAZZONI’s upholstered storage beds, offering both luxury and practicality. This new construction project embodies a fresh and masculine aesthetic with an efficient space plan for city living. Attention to scale was especially important in this townhouse setting. We took a creative approach to maximize the benefits of the open floorplan yet still define the respective function of each area. A large scaled custom built-in anchors the lounge area while balancing the kitchen and creating an organized, beautiful home for essentials and decor.

Our clients came to us with a dream to create a home that was beautiful, filled with classic details yet embody a Modern French aesthetic. We started with the foundation, selecting materials that would be the building blocks for our design. One of the joys of this project was the client's love of color, primarily in hues of blue. A special moment in the kitchen with its jewel-like Azul Macauba Quartzite countertop, brass hardware, and sailor’s coat blue island. As we are designing for a family, practical touches along with luxury elements were a must. Creative thinking was used to reimagine the entry closet into a multi-purpose space including the laundry, drop zone, and pantry. The master bath was filled with a classic design from the scones, wallcoverings to crystal hardware...all to transport you to a french apartment overlooking the streets of Paris. A modern twist inserted was the approach for the family room fireplace. The clean lines of stacked stone were the perfect touch. Our clients' dream home became reality in our Modern French Project and will be loved for years to come.

Built during the 1950s Florida housing boom, this 3000-square-foot residence would have been easily demolished if not for the current owners keen design eye and creative vision. The owner has transformed the once banal ranch style home, into a chic residence set amongst a tropical garden. Working with Mario Nievera of Nievera Williams Design, the garden is designed around a simple lap pool. Terraces for relaxation and entertaining face the pool, while private garden areas separate guests from the owner. A mostly green palate of plants was individually selected by the owner including ginger, Geiger tree, philodendron, jasmine, fishtail palms and Clereodendron shrubs. The house is terraced up the hill, providing multiple connections to the large urban lot. This allows the main living spaces to wrap around the greenspace, providing numerous visual and physical relationships to the backyard. With a direct connection to the largest public park in Minneapolis, the backyard transforms seasonally to support the families active, outdoor lifestyle.
