Bathroom remodel by Che Bella Interiors, serving the Minneapolis & St. Paul area - Our client had recently purchased a coveted lakefront home on the spectacular shoreline of Crystal Lake. While the location and breathtaking views were picture-perfect, the interior was ripe for a transformation and provided an inspiring canvas for a remodel.
The scope of this 2020 project included the master bathroom and bedroom, which featured dated finishes, cramped spaces, and a lack of privacy. A wish list included removing the oversized tub, more bathroom storage, a modern color palette, texture, and enhancing privacy to transform their master retreat into the space of their dreams.
Through creative space planning and artful design, we created a swoon-worthy master retreat featuring a soothing, inviting, romantic vibe – a perfect pairing with the home’s lakefront setting. Within the bathroom, the challenge was to make the space as functional as possible, something it previously lacked. We extended the shower walls to add more privacy and leveraged a newly discovered wall cavity to create a bench seat. Added storage was found by creating built-in linen cabinets and hidden medicine cabinets in the vanity mirrors. Meanwhile, a selection of hexagon-shaped porcelain floor tile and a blue accent tile in the shower make a timeless and subtle statement, reflecting the tranquility of the suite as a whole. A beautiful mix of form and function, along with classic, high-end touches that make this gem sparkle.

Light fills every room of the house; the living room absorbs light from two sets of French doors, each of which leads to a wrought-iron balcony.
To keep light from disappearing once it enters the living room, Kevin chose simple, creamy white upholstery. Dark accents, such as textured pillows, a mahogany coffee table, and an antique dresser, offer the perfect balance. Each rooms balances modern and traditional pieces; a travertine-top iron table mixes with a 200-year-old Martha Washington Chair.
Ample room size and stately 9 1/2-foot ceilings give the living room a dramatic flair. A feeling of height definitely adds to the feeling of spaciousness. When you're on a city lot and space is in short supply, you have to be extra creative.

This main floor remodel in Lenexa, Kansas, was the third phase of a full-home transformation for our longtime clients. After previously renovating their basement and primary bathroom, they invited us back to reimagine the heart of their home with fresh perspective and elevated function.
The entryway was completely transformed from a builder-basic pass-through into a bright, welcoming focal point that sets the tone for the entire main floor. In the kitchen, we reworked the layout to improve flow and maximize storage, while introducing timeless finishes and thoughtful details that now carry throughout the home.
The family room was redesigned to feel warm, cohesive, and connected—complete with custom built-ins and a refreshed fireplace. We also converted the former laundry room into a fully functional prep kitchen, and redesigned the mudroom to meet the demands of daily life without compromising style.
This project reflects a balance of beauty, utility, and personal expression, with every space tailored to support how this family lives and gathers in their home.

Project Scope:
Transform a little-used room in the client’s lower level into an entertainment center, featuring a 1,500-bottle refrigerated wine cabinet, a wet bar, a custom-made bookshelves surround for existing hearth, and television hanging built-ins.
Challenges:
Primary technical challenge was to find a way to unobtrusively install a large “split system” chilling unit to service the wine cooler.
Solutions
The contractor started with a rectangular space that was appreciably stripped down, except for the fireplace at the far end. An adjacent room housed a professional pool table.
The client’s primary concern was how to situate the custom-built wine rack were to specify and fabricate. Although there was plenty of space in niche to the left of the stairway, there was no obvious way to locate the wine rack’s chilling unit for ducting and chiller unit.
Both client and contractor agreed that the logical setting for the rack would be along the short wall adjacent to the room’s entrance. But the short wall afforded no room for the chiller, a “split system” unit that needed adequate “breathing room” to avoid overheating
After many design sketches, the contractor had a tentative solution: house the chilling unit in a utility room behind the stairs leading to the basement. This would keep the unit out of sight and muffle the sound of the compressor.
Then question was how to “circumnavigate” the stairwell and run plumbing lines from the utility room – which was about 20 feet away — to the rack. A floor-level path would be exposed to possible damage and aesthetically unpleasing. Installing the line in the concrete slab flooring would be difficult and expensive – and any repairs to the line would mean tearing up the floor. The only alternative, the contractor suggested, would be to route the lines overhead – run them straight up from the chilling unit, over the joists above, and around the back of the stair case. Once past the staircase, it was straight shot above the joists to the short wall; the lines would then run behind the wall to the wine cooler resting on the floor.
This highly creative solution pleased the client greatly: it not only isolated the chilling unit, but allowed it to be easily serviced; the lines were protected and out of sight; and the wine rack – situated as it was in the room – seemed like it was part of the original house design.
At that point, the contractor needed a wine rack design that seemed equally “original” to the home – and here, too, the challenge was met. Custom-built cabinetry span the length of the wall, with two floor-level cabinets flanking the wine cooler. Above, twin glass-facing walnut displays – lighted and rising nearly to the ceiling – rest on a black marble countertop, showcasing the client’s impressive wine collection.
On the long wall perpendicular to the rack, a widescreen television hangs between two built-in bookcases designed by the contractor. The firm also fabricated the two bookcases now flanking the original fireplace in the far end wall – as well as the glass-faced hanging cabinets which are lighted above the newly installed wet bar.

Adina Home Design was invited to reimagine a guest suite in the the Adler on the Park historic home showhouse. Our home office design embodies our core values, providing an ideal canvas to showcase our distinctive design love language, fusing modern aesthetics with Japandi, pastoral, and biophilic influences to create spaces that feel inspiring, familiar and uplifting.
We set out to showcase how a small bedroom can be successfully converted into a home office/guest bedroom. The home office has become a paramount requirement in every home we design, The design blends clean lines, natural materials, and a serene ambiance for a creative workspace. We incorporated sleek furniture, neutral tones, and subtle nods to modern, pastoral and Japanese aesthetics for a harmonious
We elevated each space, from the sophisticated walk-in closet with striking black wallcoverings and pristine white shelving, to the tranquil guest bathroom imbued with Japandi Zen influences.
Clean lines, natural materials, and subtle nods to Japanese aesthetics converge, creating harmonious retreats tailored to modern living.

….with good lights, well-designed cabinets, privacy, and antique mirroring….
The desired characteristics for the walk-in closet were clear, but how to bring it to life? All the measurements were done, and the mood board was set… What was needed was to create the ambiance, the vibe, the mood that could not be drawn.
For the boudoir feeling, we decided to go for an oriental and Moorish background. The fabric could be found in the warmth of a carpet or ottoman, but that made the room look to narrow. We needed to be more creative to get the best out of this space.
I looked at different angles, materials, colours and woodwork. The closets needed to be handmade with shutter-like doors, but to give the room an even more delicate feeling, we needed to do something with the paneling of the doors.
After sourcing and searching, I found it. The Carpenter could make latticed doors which would give just the right twist to the room. Subtly impactful. From there, every choice was simply an addition to the atmosphere we had created…the light paisley curtains, the copper curtain holder, the arch separating the bedroom from the walk in…. All of it welcomed one into a distinctly sultry world, and home.
The cherry on the pie was a stunningly beautiful floor-to-ceiling antique mirror…. and Voila!
