We took out two awkward "U" shaped vanities & created one unified master vanity, with a large his and her's side. We removed a massive deck mounted tub, with glass blocks behind it, replaced it with a freestanding sculptural piece and a frosted updated window behind it. We also replaced the small shower with a large two person walk in steam shower. The back yard, pool & hot tub can now be accessed from the Master Bath, with the removal of a large window & replacing it with a pair of French Doors. We tried to create a spa & zen like feel thru out. Photo Credit: LBJ Construction.

The mature, refined design of this newly remodeled master bath naturally implies sophistication. The sleek style incorporates dark moody tones, clean sharp lines, metal accents and textured stone. Metal towel warmers, shower heads and vanity fixtures suit the deep concrete tiles and complement the handsome wood vanity. Wooden textures and stone shower floors are a great way of adding personality to a stark design. It embraces industrial design aesthetics with a bit of a masculine touch. The living room is open, inviting and modern. The design is full of texture, improved function, and personality. The living area seats up to 6 people (10 including the dining room). Another perk, the sofa can quickly be converted into a guest bed. This space easily transforms into a stylish and comfortable sleeping nook for out-of-town guests. Photo: NICHEdg

There’s something so shocking about a white on white kitchen renovation, especially when accompanied with crisp, sharp lines and bold features. It’s a simplicity that can’t be overlooked. When you see the rich shine of the counters against the personality of the backsplash, you’re left feeling a bit cleaner yourself. We’re all about washing your guests in illustrious design, giving them all the more reason to come back (and you all the more reason to sit back and enjoy it yourself). This particular Ottawa kitchen renovation was equipped with the right amount of storage via IKEA Bodbyn off white cabinets and eye-catching Ceragres Senio Trapunta backsplash. The wine racks are built into the cabinetry as a welcomed touch for any casual entertainer, and the entire design is packed with simple accents and clean charm.

The Clients asked us to design a Front Porch to enhance the façade of their 1930’s Salt Box Colonial home. Prior renovations had been done to expand and open up the rear of the home, but the front remained intact. The original façade was completely introverted, in sharp contrast to the outdoor-loving personality of the family; it was also extremely plain. We designed the porch in the Arts and Crafts vocabulary, an Architectural style that was consistent with the home in its simple lines, yet rich in detail and character. As part of the home’s “facelift” we extended the Porch to the left in order to balance the existing Garage located to the right, and replaced the old garage doors with carriage style ones to harmonize with the porch details. The new Porch, with its standing seam copper roof, columns, sloped cedar ceiling and IPE decking has become a cozy and intimate “Outdoor Living Room” where our Clients regularly gather to enjoy their front gardens and beautiful views of the sunset.

This is an organic Lime Wash done with a true lime wash product as opposed to a brick mortar or concrete that is often seen on new houses. This product can be applied as a solid coating making the surface completely white, or can be applied and "washed off" in many artistic ways, as seen here. If you hate your brick or just want something unique this is a great option! Photo credit: Jeff Murrey
